Ray Liotta, Goodfellas Actor, Dies at 67
Ray Liotta, the actor best known for playing Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese’s 1990 film Goodfellas, has died at the age of 67. According to Deadline, which first reported the news, Liotta died in his sleep while in the Dominican Republic where he was shooting a film titled Dangerous Waters. Born on December 18, 1954 in Newark, New Jersey, Liotta got his start playing Joey Perrini on the soap opera Another World. He made his film debut in 1983 in The Lonely Lady and received a Golden Globe nomination in 1986 for his role in Something Wild. Fans were given a first look at DC Comics‘ first-ever Latinx superhero Blue Beetle, played by Cobra Kai’s Xolo Maridueña. Comic lovers were pleased to see that the costume has lived up to its concept art as, rather than relying on CGI components, the suit was largely handmade and physical. Judge Dismisses Marilyn Manson Assistant’s Abuse Lawsuit
A lawsuit filed against Marilyn Manson by his former assistant Ashley Walters was dismissed yesterday (May 25) by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael L. Stern. Walters had alleged sexual harassment, abuse, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination in her suit, which was filed in May 2021. Manson denied the allegations. According to Billboard, Stern ruled that Walters had “too few facts to keep this case in court” and that the suit was filed too late to meet the statute of limitations rules. Walters worked for Manson between 2010 and 2011 and said her memories of the incidents were repressed, thus delaying her filing.
