There’s no place like home for Ultra Music Festival. On Thursday (May 12), the dance fest announced that it will stay at Miami’s Bayfront Park through at least 2027, following the City of Miami Commission unanimously passing an agreement between the festival and the Bayfront Park Management Trust. This Trust manages the 32-acre park, which is located in the heart of downtown Miami on Biscayne Bay. The longstanding music festival has happened at Bayfront Park for much of its 23-year history, returning to the site this past March after a much-maligned outing at Miami’s Virginia Key in 2019 and two years off due to the pandemic. The 2019 edition of the festival in Virginia Key experienced myriad noise complaints and major transportation issues, including — as Billboard reported in 2019 — “ten...

From the Sun: He said: “When my mother was arrested I was sent to temporary custody by social services which was supposed to be a religious place. It was not a nice place to be as a child. ...
Ashley began the Teen Mom 2 season confessing that she and Bar got married off-camera and things between them were “super-rocky.” Some documented lows included Ashley’s mother Pastor Tea telling her daughter she should get a divorce as well as Bar confiding in his mother Shen that he needed to save their “dwindling” marriage because of his actions. However, through the ups and downs, Holly’s parents vowed to work on their relationship, and their time on Family Reunion (especially the conversations with Coach B) proved to be pivotal in changing their bond for the better. But one thing was missing. “I lost my ring,” Bar stated, while Ashley commented that he misplaced it in the parking lot at a casino. Ashley also stopped wearing her jewelry sh...
By Danielle Chelosky Listening to Ethel Cain’s songs can feel imminent and intense, like being struck with a revelation or watching a massive hurricane roll in. There’s a sense that nothing will be the same afterward. Hayden Silas Anhedönia — the eccentric artist who brings a country twang and a sharp, emo-rap edge to the indie-pop project — has a knack for stretching ephemeral moments of awe into large sensory experiences. She takes that to the next level with Preacher’s Daughter, which despite being her debut full-length, can’t be described as anything but her opus. Over an hour long, it is as cinematic and visceral as a horror film. The album focuses on a teenage runaway, an idea Anhedönia compares to Thelma & Louise because it has an “all-American tale vibe with some fables and pro...
Sean “Diddy” Combs, as the host and executive producer of this Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, has declared that “everybody in the room is getting a second chance at life” in response to the recent bookings of Morgan Wallen and Travis Scott as performers on the broadcast. It will mark Wallen’s first awards show appearance since he was caught on camera shouting the N-word in February 2021, while Scott will also give his first on-screen performance since the fatal crowd-rushing incident during his set at Astroworld Festival last November. In a new interview with Billboard, Combs addressed the booking, saying: The mood of the show is about love and forgiveness. As a musical family, none of us are saints; none of us are without things that happen to them in life. So one of the things I’m doin...
Tom DeLonge loves aliens almost as much as he loves dick jokes, and it seems he’s managed to combine these passions in his directorial debut Monsters of California. An absolutely bonkers teaser trailer is out now, and it comes stocked with UFOs, bikini models, and beloved comedian Richard Kind. As far as alien flicks go, Monsters of California seems pitched closer to a horror comedy than a sci-fi romp. It follows teenager Dallas Edwards (Jack Samson) as he investigates paranormal activity in the SoCal area. “Maybe UFOs aren’t what we think they are,” his friend Riley (Jared Scott) says in the trailer. There’s also evidence of DeLonge’s unique sense of humor. One character quips, “That’s classified information. I’d tell you, but then I’d have to fuck your dad.” Spea...
Spinal Tap is getting the band back together. The principal cast and director of the peerless 1984 mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap are reuniting for Spinal Tap II, a sequel planned for release by Castle Rock Entertainment on March 19, 2024. Deadline reports that Rob Reiner will return both as director behind-the-scenes and in character as fake filmmaker Marty DiBergi, as will Christopher Guest (Nigel Tufnel), Michael McKean (David St. Hubbins) and Harry Shearer (Derek Smalls), who together comprise the core members of the fictional hard rock outfit. Reiner told Deadline the idea is based around the now-septuagenarian Spinal Tap reforming to fulfill a contractual obligation with their late manager Ian Faith (Tony Hendra, who portrayed the character in the original film, died last year). “Ia...
Post Malone’s forthcoming album twelve carat toothache is fast approaching. Before it drops on June 3rd, the rapper has shared a new single today called “Cooped Up” featuring Roddy Ricch. “Cooped Up” is a Posty hit through-and-through, drenched in reverb as he uses his typical sing-rapping over a heavy-hitting bass. He also co-produced the track alongside his frequent collaborator Louis Bell. As you’d probably expect, the lyrics of “Cooped Up” evoke vignettes of flaunting excessive wealth and late-night inebriated partying: “We ’bout to toast up/ All that bread that we burnin’/ ‘Cuz I’ve been feelin’ cooped up,” he sings on the chorus, a sentiment that we’ve likely all felt at some point since March 2020 — although the relatability factor stops once Post starts singing about vomi...
