Spinal Tap II Will Reunite Rob Reiner, Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer

Turn your amps all the way to 11: Rob Reiner will direct and star in Spinal Tap II, which will reunite David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean), Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer), and Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) as the hardest-hitting rock band to ever get lost backstage in Cleveland. The film will be the first production from the newly reformed Castle Rock Entertainment, Deadline reports. As for the plot, it’s still being developed by Guest, McKean, Reiner, and Shearer, who together improvised huge swathes of the groundbreaking 1984 mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap. Ahead of his Saturday Night Live appearance this weekend, Post Malone has dropped off a new single, “Cooped Up,” featuring Roddy Ricch, which is slated to appear on his forthcoming album, Twelve Carat Toothache.  “I’m about to pull up / Hit switch, pull curtain / And I been waiting so long / Now I gotta resurface,” Malone raps on the chorus. “And yeah! Pitchfork and Tribeca Festival Announce First-Ever Music Lounge

Pitchfork has partnered with the 2022 Tribeca Festival to present the first-ever Music Lounge. A slate of live performances from Onyx Collective, duendita, Show Me the Body, YL, Huerco S., Matt FX, and others will take place June 9-12 at Brooklyn club Baby’s All Right. The weekend will culminate with “How Long Gone” Live featuring hosts Chris Black and Jason Stewart with a live performance from experimental drummer Eli Keszler, followed by a “Battle of the Bands” contest and after party with Drunken Canal. Netflix on Thursday dropped off a new teaser for its hotly-anticipated zombie drama series Resident Evil, based on the popular console game of the same moniker. The eight-episode series will take place in both the present day, in South Africa’s New Raccoon City, and in the future in the year 2036, following Jade Wesker, who must fight for survival on a planet ruled by zombies. At this point in their career, Metallica have seen just about everything — at least that’s what they thought. At last Saturday’s show in Brazil, Metallica fan Joice M. Figueiró literally gave birth while the band performed “Enter Sandman” at the Estádio Couto Pereira. Figueiró said she began having contractions as Metallica started their set. Since she and her husband had tickets for the show for nearly three years, they decided to stay (with the approval of her doctor).
