Finneas will be releasing the follow-up to his debut album, Optimist. The new project is called For Cryin’ Out Loud! and is slated to release on October 4.While Optimist featured instrumentals composed and performed solely by Finneas, For Cryin’ Out Loud! sees the artist embrace collaboration. During the recording process, he was joined in the studio by a full band, though the LP is still self-produced.Finneas recorded the album entirely in Los Angeles, working with many of his close friends across a series of live studio sessions.Earlier this year, Finneas helmed production for his sister Billie Eilish’s landmark third album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT. Released in November 2023, the long-awaited effort from the Australian artist compiles features from a star-studded roster that includes Jungkook, Central Cee, Future, BabyDrill, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Robert Glasper and D4vd.LAROI introduces the album with the song “BABY I’M BACK,” which samples Player’s “Baby Come Back.” Lil Yachty, meanwhile, makes an appearance on the new song “HATRED.”Another new cut comes in the form of the fan-favorite “Pick Sides,” making its streaming debut.The First Time deluxe in total adds five new songs to the album.
