Forbes has recently revealed its ranking of the most valuable teams in the world. Amongst the list, NBA teams have made up three of the top five spots. While the New York Knicks faced a subpar season, the team was ranked the third most valuable in the world at a valuation of $5.8 billion USD. Following the Knicks is the Golden State Warriors at $5.6 billion USD and the Los Angeles Lakers at $5.5 billion USD. The Warriors come neck-and-neck with the Lakers in terms of overall value, even though the Warriors have proven to be one of the most successful teams in the sports world in the past three decades. Paul Pogba is leaving Manchester United FC on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June. Pogba first joined United from French club Le Havre in 2009 as a 16-year-old and was a part of the academy side that went on to win the Youth Cup in 2011. After stellar performances in a United shirt at academy level, Pogba then graduated to Sir Alex Ferguson’s first team, only to make seven appearances before his contract expired in July 2012. Donda Sports, led by the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has reportedly signed its first NBA player: Jaylen Brown. According to reports, the Boston Celtics shooting guard was selected “because of his intelligence, social activism and charitable work” along with “his success on the court.” In addition, Ye also appreciated the fact that Brown is “a God-fearing man” and that “his mother emphasized the importance of education at a young age, just like Donda.” Ye and Brown have supposedly been on good terms for a while, but the deal was not made official until after the artist attended the Celtics game against the Golden State Warriors in March.
