Elon Musk Wants To Cut 10% of Tesla’s Salaried Staff

Elon Musk has announced that Tesla will cut 10% of its salaried staff over the next few months. Speaking at Bloomberg’s Qatar Economic Forum on Tuesday, the CEO predicted that a recession would take place in the United States sometime soon, Reuters reported. On the possibility of an upcoming recession, Musk said that “tt’s not a certainty, but it appears more likely than not.” Earlier this month, Reuters reported that Musk had sent an email to Tesla executives directing them to “pause all hiring worldwide” as he had a “super bad feeling” about the economy. At the Qatar Economic Forum, Musk explained that since the cuts would only apply to salaried workers, it would equate to a 3.5% reduction in the company’s employee count. As a result, Tesla would increase th...

Germany Refuses to Follow European Ban on New Combustion Engine Vehicles From 2035

To further its efforts in increasing sustainability and reducing carbon emissions, legislators in the European Commission recently proposed a target to cut all CO2 emissions from new cars starting from 2035, effectively banning the production and sale of new internal combustion engine vehicles. However, it now seems that the law will be met with strong resistance, with Germany expressing a refusal to agree with the proposed regulation. In a speech during an event hosted by the country’s BDI industry association by Finance Minister Christian Lindner, the German government official said that the ban — which is also backed by the European Parliament — is wrong and that there would continue to be niches for internal combustion engines in the future. He added that Germany, while also work...

BMW has officially unveiled the much-anticipated M3 Touring. Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Bugatti Veyron Vitesse hypercar was damaged in Majorca, Spain yesterday. Arriving on the Spanish island for a family vacation, Ronaldo had both his Mercedes-Benz G-Class and $2 million USD Bugatti Veyron Vitesse shipped to his villa, where sometime yesterday, the latter vehicle was involved in an accident. Reports indicate that the star footballer was not present in the Bugatti and that his bodyguard was behind the wheel and lost control of the 1,200 horsepower vehicle when taking a tight corner — eventually hitting a brick wall. The Bugatti was then seen wrapped in a blue tarp and taken away. On top of the hypercar and luxe SUV, Ronaldo also plans on spending time on his Azimut “CG Mare” superyacht that was seen anchored off the coast. Thankfull...

One-Off Ferrari Enzo “Bianco Avus” Heads to Auction for One Night Only

The Ferrari Enzo is one of the rarest cars the Maranello-based marque has ever produced, creating just 493 examples. However, only one left the factory in “Bianco Avus,” and now this one-off example is heading to auction thanks to RM Sotheby’s. Designed by the then-head of Pininfarina, Ken Okuyama, the Enzo followed on from Ferrari‘s illustrious lineage of halo cars such as the F40 and F50. Its design is as dramatic today as when it first launched in 2003, with plenty of Formula 1 nods inspiring the car’s angular aesthetic. At the front, we find a pointed nose that spreads to create the wide haunches that curve over the fenders, while in the middle are a set of butterfly doors. At the rear, a set of quad pipes are split by a carbon fiber diffuser that houses a...

It was only 11 months ago that Lamborghini was producing its 15,000th example of the Urus. The Italian luxury carmaker only released the model in 2018 and since then, 70% of Urus’ orders are from new customers who have never owned a Lamborghini. To commemorate the major feat, the 20,000th Urus is painted in Viola Mithras tones. This spec...
