Florence Pugh Is at Her Breaking Point in New ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ Trailer

Warner Bros. on Thursday shared the second official trailer for Olivia Wilde‘s sophomore directorial effort Don’t Worry Darling, starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles.

In the latest look at the film, Pugh’s Alice and her partner Jack (Styles) appear to be living a satisfactory life in the experimental utopia of Victory, a company town housing the men who are working on the top-secret Victory Project that promises to change the world. As the preview progresses, however, Alice starts to question the company’s morality, but her attempts to convince other Victory residents of the organization’s seemingly ill will prove to be unsuccessful.

Dealing with persistent nightmares and spiraling out of control, Alice tearfully pleads, “They’re lying about everything!” And later, the trailer teases an eye-opening conversation between Alice and Victory’s CEO Frank, who tells her, “I’ve been waiting for someone like you; someone to challenge me… like a good girl.”

Alongside Pugh and Styles, the top-shelf cast includes Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Sydney Chandler and Nick Kroll. In addition to directing, Wilde takes on a supporting role in the movie. Notably, Don’t Worry Darling marks Styles’ first lead film role, though he did take on a small role in 2017’s Dunkirk.

Don’t Worry Darling premieres in theaters on September 23. Watch the trailer above.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Tom Cruise reportedly made over $100 million USD for Top Gun: Maverick.
