Mercedes-Benz Unveils the New C-Class All-Terrain

Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled its new C-Class All-Terrain.

Available in 48-volt mild-hybrid gasoline or diesel engines, the new C-Class All-Terrain gives offroading a luxurious spin with the interior you’d expect from the German automaker’s line while outfitting the vehicle with plenty of performance tech. Longer, wider and taller than the Estate, the All-Terrain comes fitted with plastic cladding on its fenders, a set of unique bumpers and even a faur front skid plate for a more rugged aesthetic.

Its standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive is paired with a four-link front suspension with larger steering knuckles, while the dampers themselves are able to adapt to various surfaces for a more flexible driving experience. It also comes equipped with two new offroad modes: the standard “OFFROAD” setting caters to dirt, gravel and sand roads while the “OFFROAD+ with DSR” mode is designed for even harsher terrains or extreme downhill excursions.

Unfortunately, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class All-Terrain will release exclusively in Europe for now, heading to dealerships shortly after it debuts at the Munich International Motor Show in September.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, McLaren has unveiled the new Elva roadster.
