Wallen becomes just the fifth country act to spend multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Artist 100, dating to the chart’s July 2014 launch. Among acts in the genre, Jason Aldean has spent the most time at the summit (three weeks), followed by Kenny Chesney, Luke Combs, Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett (two each). Among all genres, Taylor Swift has tallied the most total weeks at No. 1 (45).
Among other Artist 100 chart moves, Why Don’t We re-enters at No. 3, reaching a new peak and the top 10 for the first time, on the strength of the group’s new LP The Good Times and the Bad Ones. The set arrives at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, also a new personal best, with 46,000 units.
The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
