North West’s Debut EP Drops This Friday

North West's Debut EP Drops This Friday

The past year, North West has made it very clear that music isn’t just a side quest for her; she’s serious about it. At just 12 years old, West is quickly making a name for herself in the sonic space, forging her own fresh, unfatigued, Gen-Alpha-informed lane in the rage-rap rat race.

She’s racked up a handful of production credits and close friends in the underground hip-hop ether, spending time in the studio (and the streets of NYC) with everyone from Bktherula and Ice Spice to skaiwater and Che. Her first-ever solo studio single, “PIERCING ON MY HAND,” dropped back in February, which marked West’s proper debut track since appearing on Ye‘s “TALKING” and “BOMB,” and more recently, FKA twigsEusexua favorite, “Childlike Things.”

“PIERCING ON MY HAND”‘s release kick-started the momentum behind West’s debut EP, which she officially announced earlier this week. Since “PIERCING ON MY HAND” landed, West has been teasing the EP, sharing new snippets and visuals to her socials, captioned “EP soon.”

Dubbed N0rth4evr, the project doesn’t feature “PIERCING ON MY HAND,” but instead spotlights a new six-song lineup. Titles include “H0w sh0uld ! f33l,” “D!e,” “#N0rth4evR,” “Th!s tim3,” “W0ah,” and “Aishite (愛して),” the latter a Japanese phrase that translates to “love me.”

Check back in when N0rth4evr drops on streaming this Friday, and stay tuned for more updates on her music career as they come.
