
System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian has landed an acting role in the upcoming season of Dexter: Resurrection, expected to air later this year on Paramount+.
Marcos Siega, an executive producer on the television series, shared stills from the new season, and in one of them, Odadjian’s character R.H. Martin is about to experience the wrath of vigilante serial killer Dexter Morgan (played by Michael C. Hall).

Siega is no stranger to working with Odadjian, having directed System of a Down’s iconic “Chop Suey!” music video. He also directed videos by Anthrax, Quicksand, and other music acts.

Meanwhile, System of a Down just announced an early 2027 tour of Australia and New Zealand, on which they’ll be sharing the bill with Faith No More, who will be playing their first shows in more than a decade.
SOAD are also set to headline the Sick New World fest in Fort Worth, Texas, on October 24th of this year (pick up tickets here).
