Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam Is “Born Out of Rage” in New Trailer: Watch
When the DC Extended Universe movie Black Adam arrives in theaters this fall, Dwayne Johnson will finally fulfill his longtime dream of playing the anti-hero. During the Warner Bros. panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 23rd, he offered the latest trailer for a superhuman “born out of rage.” Starring opposite Johnson are Justice Society of America members Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom-Smasher (Noah Centineo), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), and Dr. Fate (Pierce Brosnan). First Animated Avatar Film to Center on Aang, the Last Airbender Himself
Last month, it was announced that three animated Avatar films were in the works at Nickelodeon and Paramount, and at San Diego Comic-Con, we got some information about the first installment, which will focus on Aang, the OG Last Airbender. Janet Varney, who voiced Korra in the Last Airbender spinoff The Legend of Korra, announced the news in a video played at Comic-Con on July 22nd. “There have been a lot of rumors floating around, a lot of speculation and a lot of excitement. Swedish House Mafia Cancel Multiple Tour Dates Due to Poor Ticket Sales
Swedish House Mafia’s comeback doesn’t seem to be going as well as planned. As Billboard reports, the house music trio has been forced to cancel five moreshows on their “Paradise Again Tour” due to poor ticket sales. Swedish House Mafia’s canceled shows include a July 31st show at the Amway Center in Orlando and an August 2nd stop at Madison Square Garden in New York, as well as August 9th at TD Garden in Boston, August 11th at Verizon Arena in Washington, D.C., and August 17th at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The tour’s kickoff show in Miami on July 29th and a second date at Madison Square Garden on August 3rd are still set to occur. A hiccup on the second date of Rob Zombie’s co-headlining US tour with Mudvayne led to a fun onstage moment on Thursday night (July 21st) in Noblesville, Indiana. After a truck fire forced the cancellation of sets by opening acts Static-X and Powerman 5000, Zombie invited both bands to join him onstage for performances of White Zombie’s “Thunder Kiss ’65” and the Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop.” A truck carrying lighting and sound equipment for the show caught fire and broke down on the way to the venue. In news that could have broad implications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Charlie Cox will voice Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, in the animated series Spider-Man: Freshman Year. Marvel revealed the casting choice at Comic Con, where they also unveiled that the series is set for release in 2024. Cox played the role on Daredevil (2015–2018), The Defenders (2017), and in the film Spider-Man: No Way Home. A fan favorite, Cox’s future in the MCU has been much discussed. Keeping him in the role — even for an animated series aimed at a younger crowd — would seem to suggest that Marvel has big plans for his future.
