Kid Cudi Shares Trailer for Netflix’s Entergalactic, Co-Starring Timothée Chalamet: Watch
It’s been three years since Kid Cudi first announced his Netflix animated series Entergalactic, and now the rapper has unveiled a teaser trailer revealing the star-studded cast. As previously announced, Cudi will star as the “charming, creative visionary” Jabari, whose best friend and weed dealer turned crypto bro Jimmy is played by Timothée Chalamet. Jessica Williams will star as Meadow, an on-the-rise photographer who is Jabari’s new neighbor and love interest. Pakistani Rapper Eva B Drops Banging New Track “Rozi” from Ms. Marvel: Stream
During the closing credits of the premiere episode of Disney’s new series Ms. Marvel, a scorching hip-hop track can be heard playing in the background. As it turns out, the song, titled “Rozi,” is by Eva B, who is dubbed as Pakistan’s first-ever female rapper. Entirely rapped in Urdu, the track marks Eva B’s first release on Naughty Horses Records. Gingger Shankar co-wrote and produced “Rozi,” which features both Pakistani and Indian influences. Ukrainian metal band Jinjer have been granted permission to leave by the nation’s Ministry of Culture to embark on a tour to help raise funds and awareness for their war-torn country. Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Jinjer were forced to drop off their support stint on Slipknot’s US “Knotfest Roadshow” tour. They instead helped raise funds for Ukraine via merch sales to support resistance efforts and refugee relief. The band hopes to continue raising awareness and money while traveling abroad. Todd Rundgren, King Crimson’s Adrian Belew, and several other musicians are taking David Bowie’s music on the road for the 2022 “Celebrating David Bowie” tour. The 15-date trek kicks off in October. The follow-up to 2018’s inaugural “Celebrating David Bowie” tour this iteration also features Fishbone’s Angelo Moore, Spacehog’s Royston Langdon and Jeffrey Gaines, bassist Angeline Saris, drummer Michael Urbano, saxophonist Ron Dziubla, and guitarist Angelo Bundini (otherwise known as Scrote). Together, the musicians will perform cuts from the late artist’s illustrious catalog in cities like Anaheim, Atlanta, Nashville, and Denver. Ryuichi Sakamoto Reveals He Has Stage 4 Cancer
Ryuichi Sakamoto is currently battling stage 4 cancer, the Japanese musician revealed in an essay published Tuesday. Sakamoto, 70, was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 and rectal cancer in 2021, but had previously offered few details about either cancers’ severity. Writing for the Japanese literary magazine Shincho (via Japan Times) this week, the legendary composer, pianist, and Yellow Magic Orchestra member revealed that he underwent surgery last October and December to remove cancer that had spread to both lungs. Stage 4 typically indicates that a patient’s prognosis is poor.
