Ted Cruz Is Jealous of Pete Davidson: “How Come That Dude Gets All of These Hot Women?”

Ted Cruz, who looks like a child tried to paint a face on a bowl of mashed potatoes, does not understand the appeal of Pete Davidson, complaining on his podcast, “How come that dude gets all of these hot women?” On Friday’s episode of The Verdict with Ted Cruz, his co-host Michael Knowles read out a fan question. “‘We are seeing women like Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith, Megan Markle, Kim Kardashian. Is it time we start talking about toxic femininity?’” Cruz began his answer behaving as if he’s aware that women are, in fact, people, though he wasn’t able to keep up the illusion for long. “Jada Pinkett Smith, it seems unfair to blame her for the fact that Will Smith went and took a swing at someone,” he said. “He has agency, so I’m not going to blame her for that. Amber Hear...

Margot Robbie to Star in New Ocean’s Eleven Movie

Margot Robbie is cashing in on Ocean’s Eleven: The actress is set to star in a new installment of the heist comedy franchise from Warner Bros. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the forthcoming Ocean’s will be directed by Jay Roach, whose 2019 drama Bombshell earned Robbie an Oscar nod for Best Supporting Actress. Both Robbie and Roach are also producing via their banners LuckyChap and Everyman Pictures, respectively. In terms of plot details, the team behind the project is keeping their poker faces on. However, we do know that it’s supposed to be independent from other Ocean’s films, set in Europe in the 1960s. Tapped-in Ocean’s fans know that Lewis Milestone’s Ocean’s 11 — which served as the inspiration for Steven Soderbergh’s franchise — was released in...

Time Traveling Expert Steven Moffat Answers Our Questions About The Time Traveler’s Wife

Steven Moffat’s had plenty of experience writing time travel stories, as the former head writer behind the iconic BBC sci-fi drama Doctor Who. But he’s very clear on the differences between that show and The Time Traveler’s Wife, his new adaptation of the best-selling Audrey Niffenegger novel about a man who gets constantly unstuck from time, and the woman who’s loved him her entire life, despite the complications of his condition. “Henry and Clare’s life is not an adventure story. That’s the big difference. It’s a story of people trying to have a marriage, trying to be in love, trying to get home at night, trying to grasp every day of happiness they can have while facing the irritant of time travel,” he tells Consequence. “The Doctor loves his time travel. He or she wants to run back to h...

Harry Styles Invites You to New Album Harry’s House: Stream

Welcome to Harry’s House: The third studio album from Harry Styles is here. Styles announced Harry’s House, his follow-up to 2019’s Fine Line, back in March with a brief teaser trailer. Lead single “As It Was” — which we crowned Song of the Week — followed shortly thereafter. Styles then premiered the cuts “Boyfriends” and “Late Night Talking” during his weekend one set at Coachella last month. Although the 13-track LP conveniently shares its name with a 1975 Joni Mitchell tune, the title Harry’s House is actually a nod to Japanese pop legend Haruomi “Harry” Hosono. As Styles explained during an interview with Apple MusicL “[Hosono] had an album in the ’70s called Hosono’s House, and I spent that chunk in Japan; I heard that record and I was like, ‘I love that. It’...

Paris Jackson Goes Grunge on New Single “lighthouse”: Stream

Paris Jackson has gone grunge with her latest solo single, “lighthouse.” “I can feel the lights go low/ But I don’t wanna let go now/ Maybe if I turn around, you’ll see me/ And what you used to be/ Your wave keeps crashing in a changeless sea/ And I can’t help but feel it’s drowning me/ No, I can’t breathe/ The oil’s burnt in the lighthouse, my ship wrecked on your teeth,” she snarls on the chorus over boisterous guitars. According to a press release, “lighthouse” was specifically inspired by Nirvana’s “Sliver.” The song serves as the lead single off the Hollywood progeny’s forthcoming as-yet-untitled EP, a follow-up to her three-song project the lost from earlier this year and her 2021 collaborations with Manchester Orchestra (“adagio”) and The Struts (“Low Key in Love”). Drama may be brewing in the Migos camp. Shortly after fans noticed Offset unfollowed his bandmates Quavo and Takeoff on Instagram, the duo have dropped “Hotel Lobby,” a new song under the name Unc and Phew. “Hotel Lobby” is accompanied by a music video inspired by Terry Gilliam’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Harry Styles: “There Should Be Backlash and Uproar” Against Leaked Abortion Decision

Harry Styles has joined a chorus of voices speaking out in defense of abortion rights. After Politico leaked a Supreme Court draft opinion revealing a plan to overturn Roe v. Wade, the singer called for “backlash and uproar” in order to protect the landmark decision. “I think it’s quite scary to see how far backwards we’re going in a lot of ways,” Styles told Howard Stern (per Bustle). “There should be backlash and uproar for these things. There’s a lot of people who are taking…the right steps to try to make positive things [happen].” Styles added, “I think people who don’t like that are kind of clawing to grapple back any ground that they feel like they’ve lost, which never belonged to them in the first place. I just don’t think that anyone should be able to make decisions ...

New Daredevil Series Reportedly in the Works at Disney+

A new Daredevil series may be coming to Disney+. While neither Marvel nor the House of Mouse’s streaming service have yet to make any kind of official announcement, Variety is reporting that Matt Corman and Chris Ord — best known for co-creating USA spy drama Covert Affairs — have signed on to write and executive produce the forthcoming show. The news comes on the heels of two main characters from the Netflix Daredevil show entering the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe world in recent months. Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock made a surprise cameo as Peter Parker’s “really good lawyer” in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, while Vincent D’Onofrio’s villainous Kingpin served as the shadowy big bad in Disney+’s Hawkeye last December. However, no casting has been announced as of yet, and so neithe...

Johnny Depp’s Former Agent Says “Unprofessional Behavior” Hurt His Career, Not Amber Heard

The ongoing Johnny Depp–Amber Heard defamation trial centers on Depp’s claim that Heard’s abuse-detailing Washington Post op-ed hurt his career, but according to the actor’s former agent, Depp did much of that on his own. In her testimony, United Talent Agency’s Tracey Jacobs claimed that Depp’s “unprofessional behavior,” including lateness and substance abuse, made Hollywood studios reluctant to cast him in recent years. Though Depp long reigned as  “the biggest star in the world,” “His star had dimmed due to it getting harder to get him jobs given the reputation he had acquired due to his lateness and other things,” Jacobs said. At one point, the actor even began relying on an earpiece to have his lines fed to him. “Crews don’t love sitting around for hours and hours waiti...
