Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s Wicked Will Be Split into Two Films

The lions and tigers and bears (and witches) of The Wizard of Oz have inspired endless spinoffs and adaptations — most famously, Gregory Maguire’s prequel novel Wicked, which Stephen Schwartz adapted into a beloved musical in 2003. Now, rich source material in mind, director Jon M. Chu has announced his upcoming film adaptation of the story, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, will be split into two parts. “As we prepared this production over the last year, it became increasingly clear that it would be impossible to wrestle the story of WICKED into a single film without doing some real damage to it,” Chu explained in a statement. “As we tried to cut songs or trim characters, those decisions began to feel like fatal compromises to the source material that has entertained us all f...

Megan Fox Confirms She and Machine Gun Kelly Drink Each Other’s Blood

No, this is not a deleted scene from Jennifer’s Body: Megan Fox has doubled down on the claim that she does, in fact, drink the blood of her fiancé Machine Gun Kelly. The actress confirmed her gory habit in a recent interview with Glamour, clarifying that it’s “for ritual purposes only.” “I guess to drink each other’s blood might mislead people or people are imagining us with goblets and we’re like Game of Thrones, drinking each other’s blood,” Fox said. “It’s just a few drops, but yes, we do consume each other’s blood on occasion for ritual purposes only.” Fox, a noted devotee to spiritual affairs, first raised speculations of blood-drinking back in January when MGK popped the question: “Just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I s...

But the event’s strain on the Peterson family compounds as Kathleen’s death opens up fissures between the blended family, to say nothing of the suspicion Michael faces as his wife’s possible murderer. Die Antwoord’s Adopted Son Alleges Years of Abuse and Exploitation

Gabriel “Tokkie” du Preez, the adopted son of Die Antwoord’s Yolandi Visser (aka Anri du Toit) and Ninja (aka Watkin Jones), has accused the couple of physical and sexual abuse and exploitation. The allegations surfaced through a 44-minute interview with the South African group’s former filmmaker Ben Jay Crossman and a subsequent sitdown with News24. du Preez and his younger sister were adopted by Die Antwoord in 2010 — when he was just nine years old — under foster parenting agreements with their biological mother. They would go on to appear in music videos like “I Fink U Freeky” and “Ugly Boy” while being raised with du Toit and Jones’ biological daughter and a boy from another poor family in Johannesburg. “They adopted me to be a slave,” he recalled about the experience. “They made me f...

Twitter Founder Jack Dorsey Posts Radiohead Song to Express Feelings About Elon Musk

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has a lot of feelings about Elon Musk buying his company, and like many 45-year-old men with questionable beard games, he chose to express himself in the form of a Radiohead song. And while close readers might attempt to find evidence of satire in the choice, Dorsey seemed to show his support for Musk when he tweeted out the Kid A track, “Everything in Its Right Place.” Before Musk’s purchase, Dorsey owned a little more than 2% of Twitter, and while he maintained a seat on the board, he was expected to leave that post next month. As he explained in a Twitter thread, he sees Musk as the right man to continue his work. “I love Twitter. Twitter is the closest thing we have to a global consciousness,” he wrote in explanation of his Radiohead post. ...
