GHOST Is Planning Trilogy Of Music Videos From ‘Impera’ Album

In a new interview with Viktor Wilt of Idaho’s KCVI radio station, GHOST mastermind Tobias Forge was asked if he has already picked out a song from the band’s latest album, “Impera”, that is going to be marketed as the LP’s next single. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “Short answer: yes. I just don’t know exactly… Sometimes there’s a difference between — obviously, you in radio know that — the songs that we release as singles and the ones that are singles that we push with a video and all that stuff. Right now I know what we’re hoping to do a little bit later in the year. Long story short, we’re making sort of a trilogy of videos for ‘Call Me Little Sunshine’, ‘Twenties’ [and] ‘Watc...

Marvel’s Moon Knight Review: An Odd, Perhaps Inessential, But Often Fun Ride

The Pitch: When Moon Knight viewers first meet Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac), he’s a simple man living a relatively simple life in London, working a menial job as a museum gift shop employee and struggling to connect with the people around him. While a bit of an odd duck, personality-wise, Steven has a good heart but a big secret: He keeps experiencing missing time, waking up in strange locations no matter how hard he tries to stay awake or chain himself up in his sleep. The cause for these lapses, as we soon learn, is that Steven shares his body with an entirely separate personality — that of a man known as Marc Spector, who’s caught up in some complicated business involving a golden scarab, a cult leader named Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke), and as we eventually come to discover, the modern-da...

Interpol and Spoon Announce Co-Headlining Tour

Indie rock veterans Interpol and Spoon are going on tour together this summer. The “Lights, Camera, Factions Tour” begins on August 25th in Asbury Park, New Jersey and wraps up with two shows at Portland’s Pioneer Square on September 17th and 18th. The Goon Sax are set to open every show, save for a stop in Toronto, where Metric will play instead. The three week run hits some pretty random places — Providence, Rhode Island and two dates in Ohio stick out — which is probably because both Interpol and Spoon have more extensive headlining tours of their own kicking off in April. Alas, it’s a great bill for those lucky enough to be in the bands’ path. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 1st via Ticketmaster. Prior to the launch of the tour, which also featured BUSH, ROSE TATTOO, ELECTRIC MARY and BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB, Gutt told The Rockpit about the prospect of sharing the stage with CHEAP TRICK: “We did a couple of tours with BUSH [before]; they’re great guys and it’s great to see them again; it’s something that never gets old and Gavin‘s [Rossdale] a great dude, But I’ve never met or spoken to or even been introduced to anyone in CHEAP TRICK, so I’m psyched and c...

IAN HILL Says ‘It Would Be Great’ If JUDAS PRIEST Finally Got Inducted Into ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME This Year

JUDAS PRIEST bassist Ian Hill says that “it would be great” if his band finally got inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame this year. PRIEST was previously on the ballot for Rock Hall induction in 2020, but failed to receive enough votes to make that year’s class. Having been eligible for induction since 1999, PRIEST was also on the ballot for the 2018 class of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, but was ultimately left out of the inductee list. On February 2, it was announced that JUDAS PRIEST is among the nominees for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame‘s class of 2022. Inductees will be announced in May. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 2022 induction ceremony will take place this fall. The date, venue, and on-sale information will be announced later. Asked by WTOP en...

The Many Faces of Moon Knight, Explained

There’s more than meets the eye with Marc Spector, as we’re soon about to learn from the latest Marvel television series, Moon Knight. The highly anticipated series debuts Wednesday (March 30th) on Disney+, and it’s set to be a wild character study unlike anything seen in the MCU. Beyond his nightly habit of donning a silver cape and cowl as the crime-fighting titular Marvel Comics antihero, Marc has the unique distinction of battling for justice while facing his own dissociative identity disorder (DID), which splits his psyche into entirely separate entities. Star Oscar Isaac proudly proclaimed in the first featurette that they are “putting a lens on” the character’s fundamental psychological health aspects. With only a few hints of dueling personalities in the preceding trailers, however...

A Timeline of Will Smith and Chris Rock’s Fair-Weather Friendship

As if the Hollywood gods knew we were overdue for a scandal on live television, all of the regular expected awkwardness at the 2022 Academy Awards was eclipsed by Will Smith slapping Chris Rock across the face for the entire world to see, after the latter made a joke at Jada Pinkett Smith‘s expense. But a little violence didn’t stop the Academy from giving Smith the Best Actor Award for his role in King Richard, where he plays Richard Williams, father and coach of tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams. “Richard Williams was a fierce defender of his family,” Smith said during his speech, holding back tears — almost as if to give Rock an ever-so-subtle fuck you. But being two comedy legends of the ’90s, Rock and Smith’s relationship goes way back, as both friends and on-screen collaborato...
