DISTURBED‘s David Draiman and AVENGED SEVENFOLD‘s M. Shadows have publicly criticized Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill. Rob Zombie has slowly been revealing which characters the actors in his upcoming movie The Munsters will be playing, and the latest unveiling is Elvira’s role. The “Mistress of the Dark” has been cast as Barbara Carr, the top real estate agent in the flick’s fictional town of Mockingbird Heights. Elvira (real name Cassandra Peterson) had been mentioned as part of the original cast announcement, but her role wasn’t known until now. An on-set picture of her as Barbara finds her nearly unrecognizable. Gone is her trademark vampiric look in favor of a suburban real estate agent with a colorful vintage skirt suit and wavy red hair. Zombie posted the reveal on Instagram, writing, “ATTENTION CASTING NEWS! Straight from the set of THE MUNSTERS is your first look at Barbara Carr, the #1 real estate...
Noel Gallagher thinks rock and roll has become a middle class pursuit, telling The Daily Mirror that, “Working class kids can’t afford to do it now.” The longtime Oasis star and current frontman of High Flying Birds tallied up rising costs, noting that “guitars are expensive, there’s no rehearsal rooms. They’ve all been turned into wine bars and flats.” He added, “There’s lots of singer songwriters, loads of middle class bands… wearing guitars as opposed to playing them. But four or five guys from a council estate [public housing] can’t afford guitars.” Advertisement Related Video As for whether there will be another Oasis — or whether rock and roll will continue to be an art form — he sounded unsure if young people even care. “Where are the 14-year-olds in bands now?” he wondere...
Moderat have unveiled their latest single “EASY PREY” and its accompanying music video. Watch the clip below. In the Cyprien Clément-Delmas-directed visual, Sascha Ring’s voice floats over the scene as a jumpstyle dancer whips and contorts to the music in a kind of dystopian technological outpost filled with glowing screens, dark hallways, and giant computer servers. “Drive me to the edge and further/ Yes I know/ Little space to back down/ On your map,” Ring sings, as pads and stuttering synths craft an airy electronic soundscape. “Raised among carnivorans/ Bitter taste/ I am just a low hanging fruit/ Easy prey.” Advertisement Related Video The track is the latest offering from the German supergroup’s forthcoming album MORE D4TA, which is slated to hit streaming services and digital retail...

In a new interview with SoundMojo‘s “Innersleeve” podcast, GHOST mastermind Tobias Forge elaborated on his recent comment that he is “a dictator and control freak” when it comes to the way he runs his band. “I try to be a control freak, or I am what you call a control freak,” he said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). “But just because I’m a control freak does not mean that I’m in control; it just means that I’m freakish about having control — that desire, because I like to do things my way. But I’ve also learned that almost nothing that I plan goes the way that I plan; it always ends up being a different version of what I had in mind. What I know now, just because I’m somewhat successful doing it, is that it ...
