Ed Sheeran Wants to Build a Crypt on His Estate

For the uber-famous, privacy comes at a cost. Just ask Ed Sheeran, who’s waiting for approval from the county government to build a crypt beneath the floor of a chapel on his massive estate in Suffolk, England, according to the Guardian. Back in 2019, Sheeran was approved for building a chapel on the $5 million property, with the intent for it to serve as a “private place of retreat for contemplation and prayer.” This chapel will come complete with flint-lined walls, a spiral-staircase tower, a lead roof, and stained-glass windows. Last month, the singer filed a new application seeking permission to add a full-on crypt to that chapel. The below-ground chamber would measure about six by nine feet. East Suffolk council is still coming to a decision on the application. Advertisement Related V...

LOVERBOY Celebrates Loyalty Of Hard Rock Community With New Metal Anthem ‘Release’

“Like millions of others around the globe, we’re ready to rock again,” says LOVERBOY guitarist/co-founding member Paul Dean about their return to recording and the concert stage in 2022. The band’s new single, “Release”, due in mid-January on all digital streaming platforms, is a full-throttle rocker Paul had been working on, at first intended for an unnamed metal band which approached him as a songwriter/producer to work with them. But when that didn’t pan out, Dean decided to reach out to the other members of LOVERBOY to gauge their interest in recording it as their next single, which became “Release”. “It started out as a frustrated call to action, after months of lockdown, and morphed into a metal anthem about the loyalty and ...

Peacemaker’s Steve Agee on Dancing For James Gunn and Hating His Beard

Every superhero, even one as unconventional as John Cena‘s Peacemaker, could use a little back-up — which is where Steve Agee comes in. The comedian and actor appears in the HBO Max comedy Peacemaker as John Economos, first seen working for Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) in The Suicide Squad and now investigating the strange goings-on that happen to coincide with Peacemaker’s escape from prison. “I tend to have parts where I’m in a scene and I say a line at the very end where we cut to the action,” Agee says about his past work on projects like New Girl and You’re the Worst. But while Economos is the sort of part that Agee plays nimbly as a character actor, he did value the opportunity to get a little deeper with the role in Peacemaker‘s eight episodes. Agee, as he explains in this one-o...

IAN ANDERSON Doesn’t Think JETHRO TULL Belongs In ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME

Progressive rock and roll legend Ian Anderson, founding member of JETHRO TULL, was asked in a new interview with Jeff Gaudiosi of MisplacedStraws.com about his band’s place in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. He responded: “Well, so far, it’s a sense of relief that I haven’t had to face the embarrassing prospect of being invited into the Hall Of Fame, to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame, because I’ve long maintained the position that the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is an American institution about American-inspired music. It doesn’t necessarily preclude musicians of other nationalities, but I think it’s gotta be essentially — it’s about American music. Not necessarily exactly rock and roll — we’re not talking about Chuck Berry or Little ...
