Police: Man nabbed with human head, hands in Kwara

The Kwara State Police Command has announced the arrest of one Kehinde Moses, 24, who was allegedly caught with a fresh human head and hands on Monday. The spokesperson of the command, Ajayi Okasanmi, said a team of operatives, on a stop and search duty along Ajase-Ipo road, stopped a commercial bus and in the process of searching a bag, one boy took to his heels while his partner was held. He said the bag was searched and a freshly severed head and hands of a boy was discovered. Bayelsa governor promises to investigate youth’s ‘death’ during police operation

The governor of Bayelsa, Douye Diri, has ordered an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a youth on Thursday, in Ovom community, Yenagoa Local Government Area (LGA), of the state. Newsmen gathered from residents of the area that the young man was allegedly shot by a policeman, at Ovom surburb. Police detectives in the Delta State Police Command have arrested members of a money ritual syndicate who abducted, killed and mutilated the body of a 39-year-old woman while on her way back from a farm at Obiarukwu in Ukwani council area. The prime suspect in the murder of Joy Osameze, identified as Emmanuel Ejibe (18), who is said to be the nephew of the deceased, supposedly masterminded the crime and led other gang members to lay an ambush for her while returning from Abraka Farm Reserve. Adeyemo Rotimi, widow of Rotimi Oke Adeyemo, a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official has prayed the Lagos judicial panel for compensation for the murder of her husband. She stated that she does not have an amount in mind for compensation but wants a scholarship for her children up till tertiary level. According to the widow, her husband was shot dead by Olonde Olakunle, a SARS officer while on duty on 28th November 2018. Her husband’s death clocks exactly two years today. A 23-year-old 100 level student of Osun State University, Ikire campus Juba Orisajafor on Tuesday drank poison and died few hours he preached against suicide on his WhatsApp. It was gathered that Orisajafor on Tuesday morning around updated his WhatsApp status, condemning suicide.
