Edwin Clark remains our leader in Kiagbodo council, ward – PDP chieftain
A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain has declared that elder statesman, Chieftain Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, remains the leader of the Party in the local government area and the ward despite not being a registered member of the Party. Mr. Akpodikumo Oweiagbe Okosuye, the Chairman of the PDP of Ward 8 (Kiagbodo), Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, made this declaration when he condemned a recent protest by Messer Paul Oruma and Godwin Gbogiemi over the outcome of the peaceful councillorship primary election which made Clement Wagha and Mrs. Gift Gomeron councillorship candidates for DSIEC Ward 13 and 14 of Burutu Local Government Area respectively. Confusion in APC as CROSIEC fixes May 30 for council polls
The intractable crisis rocking the Cross River All Progressives Congress (APC) appears to be gathering momentum as the two factions have issued conflicting statements on the pending May 30th local government election. While a faction led by Sir John Ochala had dissociated the party from the pending local election, describing it as a “charade”, the other faction led by Mr John Etim said it is fully prepared to take part in the council poll.
