Police confirm abduction of emir, 10 royal family members
The Kaduna state police command has confirmed the abduction of the emir of Kajuru, Alhaji Alhassan Adamu. In a statement on Sunday, spokesman of the command, Mohammad Jalige, said the emir was abducted alongside 10 members of his family. However, a resident of the community said the emir, five members of his family and nine others within the community were abducted. Gunmen kill APC chieftain in Ondo

The APC leader was shit dead along Ifon-Imoru road in Ose Local Government Area of the state while returning to Imoru after a political function. Unity schools old students condemn Kebbi abduction
Former students of unity schools across the country, under the aegis of the Unity Schools Old Students Association (USOSA), have decried Thursday’s attack on the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, Kebbi State during which scores of students and teachers were abducted by bandits. Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday said that the government would continue to demolish shanties across the state. Sanwo-Olu said this during the Security Stakeholders Town Hall Meeting at Ikeja, adding that the state government would also confiscate abandoned buildings. He said that the shanties, abandoned buildings and vehicles were hideouts for criminals, hence, should be tackled. The Police Command in Edo said on Monday that it had arrested 54 suspects for various crimes and offences in the last one week. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, SP Kontongs Bello, made the disclosure in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin. Bello said the suspects were arrested within the last one week in various parts of the state.
