Source: Jon Cherry / Getty Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, famously called out by Megan Thee Stallion, did the absolute minimum when it came to seeking justice for Breonna Taylor, the innocent Black woman killed whiles sleeping in her bed during a botched police raid. So much so, that members of the Grand Jury are calling for his impeachment. According to 3 jurors, Cameron is a liar who told the media one thing, while telling them something totally different. Reports TMZ: The 3 grand jurors zeroed in on Cameron’s public pronouncement he put possible homicide charges on the table for the Grand Jury, but they didn’t bite. Not true, say the 3 grand jurors. They say Cameron NEVER even mentioned homicide charges were an option. The only charge that was on the table was wanton end...
Source: Jon Cherry / Getty Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron states that he and his family are in danger after receiving death threats. According to published reports, Cameron petitioned the Government to pay for armed security for him and his wife after receiving “credible” threats. The Government Contract Review Committee gave its approval to the embattled attorney general’s request to hire security after there apparently were “several serious, credible threats to the Attorney General’s health, welfare, and, safety,” according to documents from Cameron’s office. “Our office has received detailed threats against the Attorney General, his wife, and members of his family,” Cameron’s office told CNN in a statement. “The Attorney General’s protective detail determined that given the cr...
Source: Jon Cherry / Getty As if things couldn’t get any worse for Breonna Taylor’s case, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron is doing everything in his power to block a juror’s request to release files detailing what happened during the grand jury proceedings that allowed her killers to avoid charges. Blavity reports that Cameron broke protocol last week by releasing grand jury recordings in Taylor’s case after an anonymous juror filed a legal motion demanding the information be open to the public and to speak out about what was said during the proceeding. The request includes “discussion of charges that were NOT presented to the grand jury, explanations of the law that were NOT provided to the grand jury, defenses or justifications that were NOT detailed during the proceedings...
Source: Jon Cherry / Getty If it walks and quacks like a duck; chances are that it is a duck. The same goes for bootlicking sellout. After the miscarriage of justice that was Breonna Taylor’s indictment announcement or rather lack thereof, the feeling towards Kentucky’s government might be at an all time low with people of color. As spotted on Blavity activist Tamika Mallory went ten toes down on Daniel Cameron, the resident Attorney General for the city. On Friday, September 25 she spoke at a press conference where she took objection to his decision to place higher value on concrete walls than Breonna’s life. “I want you to understand how wicked he is and how wicked this system is,” she said. Mallory also pointed to the fact that he had pledged his allegiance to the local police upon...
Breonna Taylor’s death currently sits over 150 days unanswered by Kentucky’s justice system, yet their Attorney General, Daniel Cameron, prioritized a cooning opportunity to invoke her name in a speech at the Republican National Convention. In his six-minute and thirty-second speech, Cameron brandished his dark brown skin to seduce Black voters into choosing Donald Trump for a second term this Source: Chip Somodevilla / Getty November. He called out Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden for delivering off-collar remarks scolding Black voters. “I think often about my ancestors who struggled for freedom, and as I think of those giants and their broad shoulders, I also think about Joe Biden, who says, ‘If you are not voting for me, you ain’t Black,” he said mechanically at t...
