Kanye West has officially been banned from performing at the Grammy Awards. In a recent report from Variety, a rep has confirmed that the awards show has called Ye’s team to alert them that he has been “unfortunately” removed from this year’s performance lineup. The rep has confirmed that this is due to his “concerning online behavior.” West, who is up for five 2022 Grammy Awards, was initially not announced as one of the listed performers. J.J. Abrams is reportedly developing a series about Irish rock band U2 for Netflix. According to reports, the Star Wars director will executive produce the scripted series his under his Bad Robot banner while Anthony McCarten, who penned the biographical features Bohemian Rhapsody about Queen and The Theory of Everything about Stephen Hawking, will write the script. The involvement of U2 and the show’s plot are unconfirmed as of writing. Shooting Near SXSW Leaves 4 Injured

Four people were injured during a shooting in downtown Austin, Texas early this morning (March 20), Variety and Deadline point out. In an official press statement regarding the incident, Austin Police confirmed that at 1:59 a.m. authorities responded to shots fired in the 400 block of East 6th Street in the city’s entertainment district. Although the shooting took place on the final weekend of the 2022 South by Southwest festival, the incident did not take place at a SXSW venue or event, Deadline confirmed via a spokesperson. The four victims were transported to local hospitals to be treated for minor injuries.
