Splice Remembers Producer Christina Yuna Lee After “Senseless” Murder In NYC Apartment

Leading music production platform Splice has paid tribute to Senior Creative Producer Christina Yuna Lee, who was tragically murdered over the weekend. Sources say the suspect, Assamad Nash, followed Lee into her apartment early Sunday morning and tried to flee through the fire escape after fatally stabbing her over 40 times. According to The New York Times, a neighbor said he heard screams around 4:30AM that “sounded like something out of a movie.” Police reportedly found Nash hiding underneath Lee’s bed and arrested him. “Over the weekend our beloved Christina Lee was senselessly murdered in her home,” reads a message shared by Splice via social media. “Our hearts are broken. Eric Prydz Announces 2022 U.S. Tour Dates

Eric Prydz is embarking on a U.S. tour, with the first stop in Miami to celebrate the 10th 10th anniversary of Miami Music Week. With stops in Philadelphia, Boston, New York City, Chicago and more, the Swedish dance music polymath will hit the road across the months of March, April and May 2022. Prydz will perform as his Cirez D alias at Superior Ingredients in Brooklyn during the tour’s April 23rd stop. Unfortunately, he will not be stopping on the West Coast. This Friday (February 18), Canvasback Music and Atlantic Records will release the Benjamin Gibbard–curated compilation Ocean Child: Songs of Yoko Ono. Before the album arrives, Gibbard and his band Death Cab for Cutie have shared their cover of Yoko Ono’s 1973 song “Waiting for the Sunrise.” Listen below. In addition to Death Cab for Cutie, Ocean Child includes contributions from David Byrne, Yo La Tengo, Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som, the Flaming Lips, and others. A portion of the proceeds from Ocean Child will be donated to the nonprofit organization WhyHunger. The album’s release also coincides with Ono’s 89th birthday. Modest Mouse have announced a new string of North American tour dates in support of their 2021 LP The Golden Casket, kicking off in Baltimore on April 18 and wrapping up in Boise, Idaho in August.
