Kate NV Releases New Collection Bouquet to Benefit Ukrainian Refugees: Listen

Russian artist Kate NV has shared Bouquet, a new collection of music being released to benefit Ukrainian refugees. Proceeds will be directed toward Helping to Leave, which aids those seeking evacuation from areas of military conflict. Bouquet features eight improvised songs made with Andrey Bessonov. More legacy artists and songwriters are going to be able to profit from the boom in streaming and other digital royalties after Sony Music Group expands its program for paying royalties to more artists with unrecouped royalty balances, chairman Rob Stringer announced Wednesday evening (May 25) during a presentation to Sony Corp. investors. With Artists Forward and Songwriters Forward, both launched in 2021, Sony Music decided to pay royalties to artists and songwriters who were signed before 2000 and haven’t received advance since. A lawsuit filed by a woman who worked as a personal assistant to Marilyn Manson has been dismissed, as Rolling Stone reports. According to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Stern, Ashley Walters’ accusations of sexual assault, battery, and harassment have surpassed the state of California’s two-year statute of limitations. “The plaintiff has pleaded too few facts and too late to keep this case in court,” he wrote in his ruling.
