Apparently, this is old news for some since TMZ reports that the bundle of joy actually arrived on May 13. If we’re keeping it a bean, speculation began spreading about if and when Pretty Flacko would impregnate RIhanna ever since he proclaimed his love for her in a GQ cover story back in May 2021. The dynamic duo announced that they were expecting back in late January 2021. Already a style icon, she upped the ante by going any and everywhere with her pregnant belly on display. Lil Nas X to Receive Hal David Starlight Award at 2022 Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala
Lil Nas X will receive the Hal David Starlight Award at the 2022 Songwriters Hall of Fame gala, which will be held June 16 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York. The songwriter/artist born Montero Lamar Hill will become only the second songwriter/artist associated with hip-hop to receive the honor. The first was Drake in 2011. LNX, 23, will also become one of the three youngest recipients. Taylor Swift was just 20 when she received the honor in 2010. Nick Jonas was also 23 when he was honored in 2016. In the midst of mental health awareness month, Dutch producer San Holo is partnering with the Calm meditation app for a moody new mix series. Launching Thursday (May 19), “The Stay Vibrant Series” features three electronic mixes correlating to three different moods. The project intersects with the producer’s “stay vibrant” campaign, for which he shares his daily mood (in the form of a percentage posted in his Twitter bio) to check in with himself and be honest with his fans about his ongoing mental health journey. The Eric Andre Show will return to Adult Swim for its sixth season in 2023, the network announced today (May 18). Guests will include Tinashe, Diplo, Rico Nasty, Natasha Lyonne, Jaleel White, Blac Chyna, Jon Hamm, Raven-Symoné, Daymond John, Meagan Good, Waka Flocka Flame, Cypress Hill, Lil Yachty and “a host of other celebrities so big we legally can’t use them in promotions,” the press release jokes. Eric André said in the press release, “Expect more deranged pranks, fire, and chaos in Season 666 with a jam-packed schedule of celebrities I can’t believe agreed to this.” Kitao Sakurai and Jeff Tremaine directed the new season. New York State Senate Passes Bill Limiting Use of Lyrics as Evidence
Earlier this week, the New York State Senate passed a bill restricting the use of song lyrics as evidence in court. According to the NY State Senate’s official website, Senate Bill S7527 is being sponsored by Senator Brad Hoylman and aims to limit lyrics or any other “creative or artistic expression” to be used against the defendant in criminal cases: “The purpose of this legislation is to protect freedom of speech and artistic expression in New York State.
