Black Mirror will return to Netflix for a sixth season, Variety and Deadline report. The dystopian sci-fi series will likely follow a similar format to Season 5, which had three episodes, each running at just over an hour. Creators Charlie Booker and Annabel Jones are bringing the series back to Netflix, despite leaving the production company that owns the Black Mirror rights; their new company, Broke & Bones, eventually reached a deal with rightsholder Banijay to license the show to Netflix, Variety reports. The fifth season featured Miley Cyrus covering Nine Inch Nails in her role as a pop star. In late December 2018, Netflix released an interactive Black Mirror film called Bandersnatch, which allowed viewers to select various permutations by choosing a path at key moments, like a ch...

Osees don’t seem to mutate or morph so much as remain extraordinarily open to what moves them to do next and capable of getting music done that’s consistently good. What motivated the band to turn loose this hyperconcentrated slightly less than 22 minute burst of meteor density somewhat punkazoidal music? When it comes to the Osees, that’s at best a mediocre inquiry as they just do the next thing, genre, prevailing tastes or whatever influence might guide a lesser unit are not even a consideration. A Foul Form is a cool pivot from their 2020 studio efforts Metamorphosed, Panther Rotate, and Protean Threat. A Foul Form vigorously shakes the Oseesetch a sketch clear so whatever comes next (which will probably be sooner than later) will likely be something completely different yet again. As f...
Hot on the heels of his Four Seasons EP, as well as his collaborative effort with Graham Lake on “Run em Down,” North London artist Avelino is back with two new singles, “Mercedes Coupe” and “Magick.” With the two new tracks embracing the darker approach to music A.V. has had in recent times, “Mercedes Coupe” underpins a slow-rolling production from R Lo and Bambz, making room for Avelino to deliver his fast-paced punchlines that touch on his music success and the past stories of being followed by the police. The accompanying single “Magick” uses 169’s bass-heavy instrumental to show a more reflective side to the artist, preaching the appreciation for second chances in life. “‘Mercedes Coupe’ and ‘Magick’ are about the finer things in life,” Avelino told HYPEBEAST. “I’m still fascinated by...
Jesse Williams vowed not to be discouraged after leaked video and images of his onstage nude scene in the Broadway play Take Me Out were posted online. “I’m not down about it. Our job is to go out there every night, no matter what,” Williams told The Associated Press on Thursday. The leaked video and images prompted an outcry from the show’s producers and the union that represents actors and stage managers. “I’m not really worrying about it. I can’t sweat that. We do need to keep advocating for ourselves. And it’s wonderful to see a community push back and make clear what we do stand for, what we don’t,” Williams said. “Consent is important, I thought. So, let’s keep that in mind universally.” Williams is starring in a revival of Richard Greenberg’s exploration of what happens when a ...
