With September coming to an end, Max has unveiled its slate of new programming for the spooky month of October.Leading the Halloween festivities is the arrival of A24 and Ti West's MaXXXine, as well as the premiere of the Max Original Salem's Lot and M. Night Shyamalan's Trap. Marvel Studios has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming movie, Thunderbolts*. Based on the Thunderbolts comic, the film sees a group of antiheroes employed by the government to carry out missions.The trailer offers a preview of the action with Florence Pugh starting as Yelena Belova, a member of the Thunderbolts trained as Black Widow. Netflix has dropped a teaser for the highly-anticipated second run of the elimination-style survival drama, which made its debut in 2021.The first season of the South Korean show left off with Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) seemingly gearing up to enact revenge on the game’s organizers for the death of his allies.In the teaser, another iteration of the game is underway as a group of guards in red jumpsuits enters a room. Saturday Night Live has revealed their first five list of hosts and musical guests for their 50th season. In an Instagram post, SNL is kicking off next week, on the last weekend of September with Jean Smart and Jelly Roll. In the weeks following are Nate Bargatze and Coldplay, Ariana Grande and Stevie Nicks, Michael Keaton and Billie Eilish and John Mulaney and Chappell Roan.Starting on September 28, Jean Smart and Jelly Roll make their SNL debuts. Comedian Nate Bargatze is returning as host as are Coldplay as returning guests. Bargatze first made his hosting debut last October. Charlie Hunnam is set to portray murderer and body snatcher Ed Gein in the third season of Ryan Murphy's Netflix anthology series, Monster.The news was announced during the Los Angeles premiere of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story — the second season following DAHMER. Hunnam's role, Gein, was also known under the names the Butcher of Plainfield and the Plainfield Ghoul as he terrorized his hometown of Plainfield, Wisconsin between 1947 and 1957.
