20th Century Studios is set to produce a new standalone Predator film directed by Dan Trachtenberg. The director was previously Emmy nominated in 2022 for his Predator prequel Prey which followed the adventures of Naru, played by Amber Midthunder, who was a skilled warrior of the Comanche Nation who tries to protect her people from a major threat to their camp. The upcoming film in the franchise is expected to be titled Badlands and is slated to set in the future. Users on X will be able to get their weekly dose of WWE in just five minutes. The wrestling franchise has signed a deal with X to stream timed five-minute matches.The series is called WWE Speed and marks a two-year partnership between the two companies. The show will be live to tape and will air weekly year-round.WWE says viewers can expect to see familiar faces from across its roster. FX chairman John Landgraf recently spoke at the network's presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour. Denzel Washington and Spike Lee are set to reunite for their fifth film together. Partnering with A24 and Apple TV+, the two are remaking Akira Kurosawa's crime thriller, High and Low. The original 1963 film was based on the Ed McBain novel King's Ransom and starred Toshiro Mifune. It followed the ruin of a businessman following a ransom payment made to kidnappers.The first time audiences saw Washington and Lee share the screen together was in 2006 for Inside Man.
