Netflix has greenlit a Japanese live-action film based on Tsukasa Hojo’s famed manga, City Hunter, which will be available for streaming worldwide. Described as a “modern-day updated version of the manga” by Netflix, this is the first time ever that City Hunter receives a live-action adaptation in its native language. Studio Ghibli has officially announced the release date for Hayao Miyazaki‘s How Do You Live?, the legendary director’s first full-length production since The Wind Rises (2013) which was originally intended to be his last. When asked by Film why his father decided to return last year at the age of 80, Hayao Miyazaki’s son Goro Miyazaki responded, “He needed to create something in order to live, basically.” On Tuesday morning, the official Studio Ghibli Twitter shared a black-and-white picture of Miyazaki at work with the message “Good Morning” followed by another post in the afternoon presenting new illustrations for the upcoming movie. Titled Killer Vacation, the movie follows the muscular actors in a rowdy plot that evidently sees a holiday go wrong. Cena and Momoa initially met on the set of the upcoming conclusions to the Fast and Furious franchise. Hulu has just released a brand new docuseries titled Grails: When Sneakers Change the Game that details the origin story of Eastside Golf and entrepreneurs Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl Cooper. Following the release of Episode 10, the official Twitter for Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War announced the end of Part 1 of the series. The anime for the final arc of the adaptation of Tite Kubo‘s Bleach manga will receive a one-hour special to finish its first quarter. The one-hour special is set to air December 26 and will combine Episode 12 and 13 of the anime. Episode 11, “Everything But the Rain,” will be shown next week (December 19) as scheduled. The first poster for Ari Aster‘s upcoming film Beau Is Afraid — formerly known as Disappointment Blvd. — has been unveiled. Set to star Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role, the poster features a child — presumed to be a younger version of the actor —in grey silk pyjamas with his name embroidered on the shirt pocket.
