Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming original movie Day Shift. Directed by J.J. Perry, the action flick stars Jamie Foxx as a dad seeking to provide for his family by working as a pool cleaner in San Fernando Valley. The gig, however, is secretly a front for how he actually makes his money: by hunting vampires. Snoop Dogg and Dave Franco star alongside Foxx as fellow members of the vampire hunter union. In the trailer, Foxx and Franco pull up to a house in their work van, where Foxx sneakily breaks into the house to confront a vampire. “You know what I see when I see a vamp?” Foxx says in a voice-over. “A big old dollar sign.” The screenplay for Day Shift was written by Shay Hatten and Tyler Tice. A new featurette has revealed that Jordan Peele‘s upcoming film NOPE is the first horror epic to be shot using IMAX Film Cameras. The two-minute behind-the-scenes clip explores how Peele and cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema utilized the technology of IMAX’s iconic 15/65mm cameras for NOPE, allowing them to fill the IMAX screen directly “with unprecedented crispness and clarity.” The director shared, “IMAX is movie magic pushed to its limit. When you see a film in an IMAX theater, it feels like you are there. It’s complete immersion, and there’s nothing quite like it. And we are only at the beginning, there’s still so much to be explored in this format.” NOPE will mark Peele’s next film following Get Out and Us: “The film reunites Peele with Oscar® winner Daniel Kaluuya...

Two days ahead of its release, Netflix has now dropped a chilling trailer for its live-action Resident Evil adaptation featuring the Wesker family on the run. While there’s not much context offered for the clip, we see Albert Wesker instructing his two daughters Billie and Jade to escape from what seems like the compound we’ve seen in earlier trailers before Wesker covers himself with what appears to be blood from a dead dog. Earlier last month, Obi-Wan Kenobi‘s original creator Stuart Beattie revealed that his very original plan for the beloved Jedi Master was to create a full film trilogy around him, exploring his transformation from the Republic’s revered General to a recluse in the caves on Tatooine. Unfortunately, given Disney‘s influence, the idea ultimately turned into a six-part television series, but now a fan has edited the entire run into a two-and-a-half-hour film. The man behind the project is Kai Patterson, who felt that the show had subpar pacing and so decided to cut out all the unnecessary shots and condense the six-episode series into a feature-length film. Saying that the show had “awkward pacing, whole scenes that ultimately amounted to nothing, goofy dialogue and directing choices,” Pa...

Luckily, the studio has now dropped some promo art for the show, giving us a much clearer look at the Jennifer Walters’ alter ego. Pictured down below, the new promo art was shared by Marvel fan account MCU Facility over on Twitter and depicts Tatiana Maslany’s character in her full green skin, complete with a white, purple and dark gray costume that very much resembles the suit Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk wore in Avengers: Endgame. Earning more than $1 billion USD at the global box office, Top Gun: Maverick was no doubt a cinematic success, but despite its popularity, there’s no sign of a sequel coming to the already sequel 1986’s Top Gun. Luckily for fans, it seems some of the movie’s main cast members would be keen to continue on with more films.
