Marvel Comics Drops More ‘Spider-Man’ and ‘Captain America’ NFTs

Marvel Comics and VeVe Digital Collectibles have dropped a new series of Spider-Man and Captain America NFTs. The collection marks the end of VeVe’s month-long “Marvel month” celebration, which commemorates the publisher’s anniversary, and features a Marvel 1st Captain America NFT that sees the character during his debut appearance in 1941. The most common piece from this series is “The First Avenger,” while “Charing into Battle” is listed as uncommon, “The Punch” is listed as rare, “Animated” is listed as ultra-rare and “Ultimate Animated” is listed as secret-rare. Jake Gyllenhaal Becomes a 911 Operator In Netflix’s ‘The Guilty’ Remake

Netflix has released a new trailer for Jake Gyllenhaal‘s 911 operator thriller The Guilty in anticipation of its October debut. A remake of a Danish film of the same name from 2018, The Guilty follows Gyllenhaal’s character of 911 dispatcher Joe Baylor over the course of a single day. The new trailer starts off by showing a series of irrelevant or prank calls made to the dispatch center, making for what would seem to be a slow day at the office. Things take a sudden and dire turn however when a woman in grave danger calls in, forcing Baylor to use every resource he can in order to save her. ‘One Piece’ Releases “Twilight” MV For Live-Action Mini Series ‘We Are One’

To celebrate the 100th volume of One Piece hitting the shelves last week and episode 1,000 of the anime in November, a short live-action series, We Are One, adapted from the manga has been released. Featuring the powered-up actions and combat illustrated in Eiichiro Oda’s manga, the five-episode short drama focuses on how people deal with real-world issues while incorporating elements of  One Piece. Known for providing music to the animated movie Your Name, Japanese rock band Radwimps has produced the theme song “Twilight” for We Are One where the music video stars the cast from the drama and anime and fans of the anime. Hulu Subscriptions Are Getting a Price Hike Next Month

Hulu is reportedly increasing its subscription prices next month. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Disney-owned streaming platform will be raising prices for both its ad-supported and ad-free tiers, and changes will affect both new and existing customers. Those in the former plan will see a price increase from $5.99 USD to $6.99 USD a month, while the latter will go from $11.99 USD to $12.99 USD a month. As for the customers subscribed to the Disney streaming bundle or live TV plan, subscription prices will remain unchanged. Hulu currently boasts 42.8 million subscribers, 39.1 million of which are subscribed to its SVOD plan. Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have confirmed that they are pregnant with their second child. The beauty mogul took to Instagram to officially announce the news, sharing a short video that sees her delivering the news to Scott and her mother Kris Jenner separately, along with clips from her birthday and trips to the doctor. In late August, rumors began to swirl that Jenner and Scott, who co-parent their eldest daughter, Stormi Webster, were expecting their second child. Reports at the time noted that the 24-year-old is in the “very early stages” of the pregnancy. ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ Receives Earlier Theatrical Release Date

Sony Pictures has once again revealed new release plans for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. In an unprecedented move, the Tom Hardy-starring comic book adaptation is now set for October 1, marking the sixth time the release date has been changed. Tom Hardy‘s character, who is a journalist turned alien symbiote will act alongside Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Reid Scott ad Naomie Harris. Three months ahead of The Matrix Resurrections‘ premiere, Warner Bros. has begun its promotional rollout for the hotly-anticipated fourth installment to The Matrix franchise. The Fleabag star reportedly “had a different creative vision for the series than Donald Glover,” but the pair are still friends and her exit was amicable. Waller-Bridge’s role, which is opposite Glover’s, is now being recast as the series aims to stick to its premiere and production year of 2022. ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Breaks Labor Day Box Office Record With $90M USD

Marvel‘s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has set a new Labor Day box office record with a $90 million USD earning across four days. According to reports, the film surpassed 2007’s record holder Halloween, which garnered $30.6 million USD. Shang-Chi also earned $75.5 million USD from 4,300 domestic locations across across three days, while its international earnings are at around $127.6 million USD. Its three-day earnings also marks the second-biggest domestic opening of 2021, just behind Black Widow‘s $80.3 million USD and above F9‘s $90 million USD. The 41st Volume of ‘Berserk’ Will Roll Out This Christmas Eve

Adding onto the latest preview of chapter 364 of late Kentaro Miura’s manga Berserk, Japanese publishing house Hakusensha announced that the 41st volume of the dark fantasy series will be rolling out this Christmas Eve. The first volume in three years will be published in both regular and special editions with the latter boasting a canvas artwork done by Miura himself along with a drama visual CD. In the upcoming Berserk art exhibit to be held in Tokyo’s Sunshine City, the event will be utilizing the artwork as its main key visual.
