The first Mario Golf game which was first published in 1999, is officially arriving on Nintendo Switch as part of Nintendo‘s Switch Online Expansion Pack that includes an array of classic N64 and Sega Genesis games. The game allows players to choose their favorite Mario universe characters and play on different themed courses across a variety of gameplay modes which include Tournament, Speed Golf, and Mini Golf. Mario Golf joins other old-school titles in the Expansion Pack including Mario Kart 64, Mario Tennis, Super Mario 64, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. More than two decades after the original game’s launch, the Max Payne franchise is finally getting a remake. The new project will reunite Remedy with Rockstar Games, the company behind Max Payne 3, and feature remakes of both the first Max Payne as well as Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. Shueisha, the publisher behind Weekly Shonen Jump, one of the most popular manga magazines in Japan, is now branching out into video games, Famitsu reported, per Kotaku. The publisher established Shueisha Games in February and is planning to develop games for consoles, smart devices and PC. Shueisha Games will also release its own “analog games,” such as board games. It’s reportedly already working on several big collaborations with other game companies, utilizing its own in-house manga team. Epic Games has launched its next-generation video game engine, Unreal Engine 5. Arriving almost two years after it was first announced, the engine is now released for developers to download and promises a slew of new tools and hyper-realistic graphics. In its release, the company called Unreal Engine 5 “the world’s most open and advanced real-time 3D creation tool.” Alongside easy-to-use UI, the engine contains Nanite, a “virtualized micropolygon geometry system,” allowing developers to build worlds with meticulous geometric detail. It might’ve taken Ubisoft a little longer than Activision with Call of Duty Mobile, but the studio is finally bringing its beloved Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six franchise to mobile platforms. Led by Ubisoft’s Montreal studio, the new title will re-create “true’ Rainbow Six Siege gameplay on your mobile device, offering 5 vs 5 PvP matches where you’ll get to pick your operator, skills, weapons and tech gadgets.
