After making an appearance in Resident Evil Village, one of the gaming world’s most oddly beloved characters has made a return in FromSoftware‘s latest hit: Thomas the Tank Engine is now a fightable boss in Elden Ring. The iconic locomotive has now joined the game via a new mod by the team over at Garden of Eyes, a gaming YouTube channel featuring tutorial videos for FromSoftware’s titles. Featured in the video above, you’ll see Thomas replace the Flying Dragon Agheel boss fight, soaring up into the sky before pummeling down at your character with a hauntingly empty look on his face. Much like the dragon itself, he’ll even breathe fire at you. Unfortunately, Garden of Eyes hasn’t released the mod to the public just yet, and there’s no telling whether it’ll be in the public domain...
Microsoft will soon be adding support for mouse and keyboard for Xbox Cloud Gaming. The revelation came from Microsoft Flight Simulator head Jorg Neumann, who spoke about the recent addition of the game to the cloud service. Though you’ll be able to stream Flight Simulator, Xbox Cloud Gaming currently only supports controller input, but Neumann says that’s about to change. During a developer Q&A, Neumann said: “the platform team is working on this. I know I can’t give a date because it’s the platform team. I don’t know their dates, but it’s coming… I’m hoping it will be done by June or so, but I can’t ever tell.” Since his response, a Microsoft spokesperson seemingly confirmed the news with The Verge. “The team is experimenting with touch/gyro and is excited to embrace M...
Now that Gran Turismo 7 is out, with many fans saying that it is the most complete version to date, there’s some bad news for those looking to amass the perfect collection in their garage. If you’re not willing to grind for in-game credits, which can be used to purchase some of the rarest cars, it’s going to cost you a lot of real money. With the current highest amount of credits (2 million) priced at $20 USD, this makes cars like the Porsche 919 Hybrid 16 and McLaren P1 GTR ’16 cost close to $40 USD if bought outright. While these microtransactions can quickly add up, there’s one car so far that trumps them all, and that’s the 1929 Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer which costs 20 million credits, or $200 USD — hope you have a comfortable racing setup. In other gaming news, Thomas the Tank Eng...
FromSoftware games have a reputation of being difficult, but the lack of a pause menu in Elden Ring can make exploring its expansive open world just that much more stressful, especially when you’re in need of a quick break. Luckily, a fan mod can now help you out. For those playing the game right now, you’ll realize that while you’re able to pull up a menu screen when you’re in the game, it doesn’t actually pause what’s happening, meaning if you’re exposed and close by the enemies, there’s a chance you’re going to be attacked and killed if you’re taking a bathroom break. To make life more convenient, modder TechieW has now created Pause the Game, a fan mod that’ll do exactly what the name suggests: pause your game. Unfortunately, to make it work, you’ll have to disable the Easy A...

With some of the luckier gamers already receiving their Steam Deck from Valve, many have started trying out different games on the new handheld platform, but it seems like Sony‘s recent purchase Bungie isn’t too fond of the idea. Over on the game’s official help page, the developer explained that Destiny 2 is not supported on the Steam Deck’s Linux-based SteamOS, and it most likely never will given what the company said next. “Players who attempt to launch Destiny 2 on the Steam Deck through SteamOS or Proton will be unable to enter the game and will be returned to their game library after a short time,” it stated. “Players who attempt to bypass Destiny 2 incompatibility will be met with a game ban.” Bungie hasn’t explained why it has taken such a hostile approach to the game being pl...
Following the launch of Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West, the next big title everyone is looking forward to is no doubt God of War: Ragnarok, and now a potential release window for the highly anticipated sequel has leaked. According to new reports, a video game retailer in Chile has accidentally listed the game on its website with a release window expected for June of this year, contrary to what many insiders believed would be a holiday season launch at the end of the year. Of course, while various games over the year had experienced similar leaks from other retailers that ended up to be accurate, there’s an equal chance the Chilean store had simply made a mistake, so fans should still take this news with a grain of salt. As usual, Sony and PlayStation have yet to confi...
Following in the footsteps of other legendary horror and grimdark video games such as Resident Evil and Dark Souls, Behaviour Interactive‘s asymmetric survival title Dead by Daylight is now also getting its very own board game. The new tabletop experience will be developed in partnership with Level 99, a company focusing on creating board games for video game fans. Much like the digital experience itself, the Dead by Daylight: The Board Game will feature one player taking on the role as the Killer while four other friends will become hunted Survivors, trying to escape from death while repairing generators on the map in order to escape. There’ll be several maps to play on, and you’ll also collect bonuses on the way to help you evade the Killer more effectively. “I am probably...
