Netflix Enters Into Gaming Adding Two “Stranger Things” Titles

Netflix has offered games on its platform for the first time as part of a first, tentative trial in Poland. Two titles based on Netflix’s own hit sci-fi show, Stranger Things, are available to download and play to Polish subscribers using Android devices to access the platform. While Stranger Things:1984 and Stranger Things 3 are the first titles to go up, it’s clear that Netflix sees a future in bringing gaming to the platform. An Eclectic Cast of Heroes Star in ‘Marvel’s Midnight Suns’

Marvel‘s Midnight Suns is a new turn-based role-playing game revealed earlier this week at Gamescom 2021. The RPG is being developed by Firaxis’ XCOM team and published by 2K Games. The game is inspired by The Rise of the Midnight Sons crossover comic arc which began back in 1992, bringing together an eclectic cast of new and old heroes and antiheroes. Characters are drawn from the Avengers, X-Men, Runaways, and more including Iron Man, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Blade, Nico Minoru, Robbie Reyes, Ghost Rider and Wolverine. ‘Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy’ Unveils Game’s Main Villain

Two months after announcing the game, Square Enix has now unveiled the main villain for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, a similar action-adventure title to last year’s Marvel’s Avengers. Activision Blizzard Accused of Shredding Workplace Abuse Evidence

As California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing continues to investigate the alleged toxic work culture and gender discrimination within video game developer and publisher Activision Blizzard, the state regulators are now accusing the company of shredding evidence that proves its claims. According to new reports, the DFEH claims that Activision Blizzard’s human resources team began destroying documents within the company that pertains to the ongoing inquiry, an act which is illegal in itself as the developer is required by law to provide such documentation to the state. Konami is looking to bring Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG to screens all around the world with the official announcement of its highly anticipated Master Duel game. During Wednesday’s Gamescom Opening Night Live, Sledgehammer Games unveiled the first extended playthrough of one of Call of Duty: Vanguard‘s campaign missions: Stalingrad Summer. Included in Gamescom’s first look was an interview with Laura Bailey, the actress behind one of Vanguard‘s main characters: Soviet sniper Polina Petrova. ‘Halo Infinite’ Receives an Official Release Date

During Gamescom 2021’s Opening Night livestream on Wednesday, Microsoft confirmed that Halo Infinite will officially launch on December 8 for Xbox and PC. Microsoft originally planned to release the game in tandem with the Xbox X/S in November of last year, but ultimately postponed Halo Infinite‘s debut to fall 2021 due to the pandemic. Halo Infinite‘s campaign and multiplayer modes will arrive in December as part of season one, “Heroes of Reach.” Though the game will not launch with campaign co-op or Forge mode, cooperative gameplay should become available in season two, roughly three months after the game’s initial launch.
