Netflix is moving into live events and Chris Rock is leading the charge. The streaming giant has now shared a teaser trailer for Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, their first-ever live comedy special. Rock is set to present Selective Outrage in Baltimore, Maryland on March 4th at 10:00 p.m. ET, when it will be simultaneously broadcast to Netflix subscribers around the world. The teaser offers very little in the way of hints: A man says, “Chris, they’re ready for you,” and he takes a short walk from a dressing room to a stage. Lil B Surprises Fans With Jazz Album ‘Afrikantis’
Lil B has surprised fans for the holidays by dropping an entirely new album. The new LP, entitled Afrikantis, sees the rapper stray from his hard-hitting hip-hop sound and dip into jazz. Spanning 14 tracks, Afrikantis opens with a song called “My Fathers Drums,” introducing listeners to the California rapper’s new sound. NEW YORK (AP) — Maxi Jazz, a DJ and singer who fronted the eclectic British dance band Faithless known for such hits as “Insomnia” and “We Come 1,” has died. He was 65. Faithless announced his death on social media Saturday, saying he “died peacefully in his sleep last night.” “He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways. He gave proper meaning and a message to our music. He was a lovely human being with time for everyone and wisdom that was both profound and accessible,” the band’s statement reads. Maxi Jazz, the singer and multi-instrumentalist best known for his work with the electronic band Faithless, has died, The Guardian and Rolling Stone report. Members of Faithless confirmed the news on social media earlier today (December 24). “We are heartbroken to share that Maxi died peacefully in his sleep last night,” Faithless keyboardist Sister Bliss wrote on Twitter.
