Every Song Ranked on Jack Harlow’s ‘Come Home the Kids Miss You’ Album: Critic’s Picks

As Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg said earlier this week, “It’s either Euphoria or f—–g Jack Harlow on Complex every 10 minutes.” Arguably, no artist has taken more advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic musically than Missionary Jack, who is on the precipice of joining rap’s A-list and seemingly became America’s heartthrob overnight. Explore See latest videos, charts and news See latest videos, charts and news The Louisville native has turned lifelong dreams into realities this year — whether it was joining Kanye West on stage in February, vacationing to Turks and Caicos with Drake, or notching his second No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with the Fergie-sampling “First Class” in April. After cutting drinking alcohol completely out of his life in 2021, Harlow’s vision for greatness couldn’t b...

The book also reveals that Dr. Dre’s partner Jimmy Iovine had a feeling a leak could spoil the massive deal. Little did he know he would be right and that it would be his business partner doing the leaking. “At 2 am, Iovine got a call from Puff Daddy, who was screaming that Dre and Tyrese, a rapper, wer...

Judge Orders MSCHF To Halt Sales Of Tyga’s “Wavy Baby” Sneakers

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Shy McGrath / Getty After surprisingly riding high on the hog the past few years post-Kylie “Sugar Mama” Jenner (everyone thought he’d be irrelevant after she left him), Tyga was just handed a rare “L” by a judge who ruled that MSCHF had to stop selling their Tyga’s “Wavy Baby” sneakers as they resembled the OG Old Skool Vans silhouette way too much. According to HypeBeast, U.S. District Judge William F. Kuntz issued a temporary restraining order to MSCHF ordering them to stop selling and advertising the “Wavy Baby” kicks after Vans sued MSCHF over the sneakers claiming trademark infringement. After hearing both sides arguments, the judge sided with Vans in the matter and issued the order halting the sales of the “Wavy Baby” kicks. Related Stories A few m...

Carly Rae Jepsen Begins New Era with “Western Wind”: Stream

A new era of Carly Rae Jepsen begins now. Check out the Canadian pop singer’s new single, “Western Wind,” produced by Rostam Batmanglij, along with its accompanying music video below. With slow-ringing synthesizers and beachy percussion, the single trades Jepsen’s trademark bubblegum pop for a serene mid-tempo number. Yet, with a classic singalong chorus, “Western Wind” stays true to Jepsen’s bright persona. It makes sense, then, that she’d debut the song on the desert stage at Coachella. “Western Wind” marks Jepsen’s first release since the 2020 holiday song “It’s Not Christmas Till Somebody Cries,” while her last proper album was 2019’s Dedicated. Doja Cat has dropped a new song called “Vegas,” which serves as the lead single to the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming biopic Elvis. Listen to the track below. As the first look at the Elvis soundtrack, “Vegas” follows Luhrmann’s grand tradition of pairing historical content with modern music. Doja Cat lives up to the challenge, sampling Elvis’ (nay, Big Mama Thornton’s) rock and roll classic “Hound Dog” for a moody rap song bemoaning a universal truth: men ain’t shit. “You ain’t nothing but a/ Dog? Player, I get it/ Fraud? Player, I get it/ I understand, I understand,” Doja spits, over boosted bass. Some things never change. The official Elvis soundtrack arrives June 24th, the same day as the film. The project, Luhrmann’s first since 2013’s The Great Gatsby, stars Au...
