California is getting another new country music festival. Sacramento’s GoldenSky Music Festival will debut Oct. 15-16 with headlining performances from Tim McGraw and Sam Hunt at Discovery Park. The new event is produced by Danny Wimmer Presents (Welcome to Rockville, Louder Than Life) in partnership with Visit Sacramento and will feature performances from top-tier country acts including Brothers Osborne, Midland, Carly Pearce, Parmalee, Michael Ray, Diamond Rio, Brian Kelley and Lindsay Ell. T Bone Burnett Reveals New Analog Reproduction Technology

T Bone Burnett has developed a new medium for recorded sound, a disc format he’s dubbed Iconic Originals. He’s tried out the technology with Bob Dylan re-recording some of his classic songs, but those recordings are not yet available for the public to hear. A press release indicates that the project is part of Burnett’s attempts to “reset the valuation for recorded music.” According to a statement from the producer, one-of-a-kind Iconic Originals are “lacquer painted onto an aluminum disc, with a spiral etched into it by music.” Burnett’s project is the first major development in analog music reproduction in more than 70 years, when phonograph discs shifted from being made of fragile shellac to the polyvinyl plastic material still used in the present day. The allegations surfaced through a 44-minute interview with the South African group’s former filmmaker Ben Jay Crossman and a subsequent sitdown with News24. du Preez and his younger sister were adopted by Die Antwoord in 2010 — when he was just nine years old — under foster parenting agreements with their biological mother.
