Moonage Daydream, a new historical film about David Bowie, will premiere at Cannes Film Festival next month, reports Variety. The movie is officially sanctioned by Bowie’s estate and features previously unreleased 35mm and 16mm footage from his personal archives. Moonage Daydream is directed, written, and produced by Brett Morgen (best known for Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck), and will make its streaming premiere on HBO and HBO Max in spring 2023. Just yesterday, Arcade Fire were announced as performers at the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The band is now taking the stage at the Mojave Tent. The band is readying the release of the new album WE, which arrives May 6. The follow-up to 2017’s Everything Now was produced by Nigel Godrich, Win Butler, and Régine Chassagne. So far, Arcade Fire have shared lead single “The Lightning I, II,” along with a music video directed by Emily Kai Bock. Phoebe Bridgers is making her Coachella debut. During her Friday evening set, Bridgers will be playing music from her 2020 album Punisher and more. Watch Bridgers’ Outdoor Theatre performance below and follow along with all of our Coachella 2022 coverage. Coachella is one of the stops on Bridgers’ 2022 tour. She is playing North American shows through mid-June when she will hop overseas for a series of European and UK dates, including a show at Glastonbury. During his Friday night headlining set, Styles is likely to perform songs off his 2019 album Fine Line , as well as “As It Was,” the lead single off his upcoming album Harry’s House. The album was recorded in multiple locations across the United Kingdom, Los Angeles, and Tokyo between 2020 and 2021.
