British rockers THE STRUTS have signed to leading independent record label Big Machine Label Group, a subsidiary of HYBE America. Formed in Derby, England circa 2012 with a recent creative surge in Los Angeles, the tongue-in-cheek swagger of singer Luke Spiller, guitarist Adam Slack, bassist Jed Elliott, and drummer Gethin Davies is influenced by a mix of QUEEN flair and OASIS audacity. THE STRUTS‘ name was born from a rehearsal observation as Spiller innately strut around the room as they performed in their earliest days. Kelly Lee Owens has announced her new album, LP.8, with two new songs: “Sonic 8” and “Olga.” The follow-up to 2020’s Inner Song is due out digitally on April 29 via Smalltown Supersound; vinyl will ship June 10. Sir Paul McCartney has earned the right to ask for whatever he likes, and today what he would like is for US Starbucks customers to pay less for plant based milks. McCartney is perhaps the world’s most famous vegetarian, and he has long used his platform to agitate for animal rights.
