The Planet Her artist appeared to be frustrated with fans surrounding the cancelation of her set at the Asunciónico music festival in Paraguay due to severe weather issues. Other performers including Miley Cyrus and Machine Gun Kelly were also forced to cancel their performances. Fans took to Twitter to direct their grievances and disappointment towards the “Woman” singer. A new batch of performers for this years Grammys includes Foo Fighters and Nas. Jon Batiste—this year’s most nominated artist—has also joined the lineup, alongside H.E.R. and Chris Stapleton. In addition, there will be a performance of Stephen Sondheim songs by Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom Jr., Ben Platt, and Rachel Zegler. Billie Eilish, BTS, Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow, Olivia Rodrigo, and Brandi Carlile were previously announced to play at the event. Kanye West, on the other hand, will not perform. The Grammys takes place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on April 3. It airs live at 8 p.m. Eastern on CBS and livestreams on Paramount+, where it will remain available on demand. Since his last full-length, Vile has issued the EP Speed, Sound, Lonely KV in 2020 and shared live covers of Neil Young and John Prine. The 2022 Newport Jazz Festival lineup has been announced. Nubya Garcia, Makaya McCraven, Sons of Kemet, Esperanza Spalding, Angelique Kidjo’s Remain in Light, Terence Blanchard, BadBadNotGood, and more are slated to perform at the event, which will return to Fort Adams State Park in Newport, Rhode Island on July 29-31. Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has died. The band, who were in Bogotá, Colombia near the end of a South American tour, announced the news Friday night (March 25) on social media. They were slated to headline Lollapalooza Brazil on Sunday. Hawkins was 50 years old, but no cause of death has been revealed. The band’s statement reads in full: The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live with us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children, and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time. 21-year-old Jamaican reggae star Koffee has officially released her debut album Gifted. The mixtape comes three years after Koffee dropped her Rapture EP which launched her into stardom. Now, fans are able to experience her unique reggae charm in her first full-length LP.
