Megan Thee Stallion’s label 1501 Certified Entertainment—which she sued last month, for the second time—has filed a countersuit in Harris County District Court, claiming the Houston rapper is in breach of contract, and that her latest release Something for Thee Hotties “does not meet the requirements of an “album” under the three contracts that she has signed with 1501.” According to documents viewed by Pitchfork, the label seeks a declaration from the court that the record is not an album, monetary damages based on the contract breaches, and attorneys’ fees and costs. “This is yet another absurd attempt by 1501 to disregard Megan’s album and squeeze more money and more free work out of her for as long as possible,” Megan Thee Stallion’s attorney Brad Hancock says. “We will ask the court t...

JUDAS PRIEST bassist Ian Hill spoke to The Aquarian Weekly about why he and his bandmates reversed their decision to remove guitarist Andy Sneap from their touring lineup. The U-turn came days after PRIEST‘s original announcement, in which the group said it had planned to resume its “50 Heavy Metal Years” tour as “an even more powerful, relentless four-piece heavy metal band.” Sneap later released a statement expressing his disappointment with the decision, while fans were understandably upset about the band’s choice to forgo its classic twin-guitar attack sound. Some even called for the return of guitarist K.K. Downing, who joined PRIEST in 1970 and remained in the group until 2011. “When it became apparent that [PRIEST‘s longtime guitarist]...

However, the 47-year-old told Jason Rockman of Canada’s “The Rockman Power Hour” this week that he fell off the wagon as the coronavirus lockdown continued, saying that “it was not good.” “I got sober February 3rd, 2018,” Chris said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET). “Were it not for a mishap during the pandemic, which I haven’t spoken publicly about until today, a mishap over the pandemic, it would have been four years [sober].
