Shooting Near SXSW Leaves 4 Injured

Four people were injured during a shooting in downtown Austin, Texas early this morning (March 20), Variety and Deadline point out. In an official press statement regarding the incident, Austin Police confirmed that at 1:59 a.m. authorities responded to shots fired in the 400 block of East 6th Street in the city’s entertainment district. Although the shooting took place on the final weekend of the 2022 South by Southwest festival, the incident did not take place at a SXSW venue or event, Deadline confirmed via a spokesperson. The four victims were transported to local hospitals to be treated for minor injuries. Tonight on the latest episode of The Simpsons, the Weeknd lent his voice to an animated character named Orion Hughes. He’s a child influencer and owner of fictional skate brand “Slipreme,” the logo for which bears a striking resemblance to Supreme’s ubiquitous red rectangle.  In the episode, Orion befriends Bart Simpson, helping him become cool. Lil Baby‘s My Turn has set a new record on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. According to Billboard, the 2020 album now holds the title for most weeks in the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums top 10 since the chart’s inception in 1965. My Turn logs its 85th week, remaining at No. 8 with 21,500 equivalent album units earned.
