Takeoff has returned with his first solo release in two years. Entitled “Crypto,” the new single sees the Migos rapper embrace his love for cryptocurrency and the fortune that it has brought him. Enlisting Rich The Kid for a guest appearance, the two rappers flex stacks of cash in the streets and rap onboard a private jet. “She want the info,” Takeoff raps. “I want to talk about crypto.” The last fans heard from Takeoff as a solo act was on his first album, 2018’s The Last Rocket. In the meantime, he worked on Migos’ Culture III, which dropped last year, and more recently, made an guest appearance on Roddy Ricch’s sophomore album Live Life Fast. Latto on Friday dropped off her hotly-anticipated track “Wheelie,” with 21 Savage, alongside an accompanying, motorcycle-filled music video. After teasing the track’s featured artist with several hints in February, Latto unveiled the official cover art for “Wheelie” on Instagram on Wednesday, confirming that 21 Savage offers a few guest verses on the single only two days prior to its release. Pavement have announced a new reissue of the 1999 Spit on a Stranger EP. It gets released as a 12″ vinyl record on April 8—the same day as Matador’s deluxe reissue of Terror Twilight. To go with the announcement, the band has shared a new video for “Harness Your Hopes,” starring Yellowjackets’ Sophie Thatcher, who recreates Stephen Malkmus & co.’s looks from various vintage Pavement videos.
