Chicago-born arist Ravyn Lenae has released the new single “Skin Tight,” featuring Steve Lacy. The musicians recorded their collaboration in Los Angeles. Listen below. “I wanted to snap people into my world through the sonics, so they can feel how I’ve felt over the past couple of years,” Lenae said of “Skin Tight” in a press release. “It has those hypnotic elements, but it’s very simple, familiar, and fresh. Thematically, it’s about not being in a relationship with somebody, but still having those physical and mental ties. It speaks to sharing kinetic energy with another person, even if time has passed and you aren’t together anymore.” Ravyn Lenae released “Today” and “Rewind” in 2020. She shared her Crush EP in 2018. Chris Caffery, who has been a member of SAVATAGE for more than 30 years, was asked by Pete Pardo of Sea Of Tranquility about the possibility of new music from the cult metal outfit. He said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “I’m trying to figure out which quote I can use that Blabbermouth will throw up there and say, ‘Chris Caffery said…’ It’s funny with that, because I was talking to somebody. I did an interview, I think, in December, and they asked me how I felt about it, and I told them that me and Jon [Oliva, SAVATAGE leader] were writing literally with the idea of SAVATAGE in mind in 2021. And I told them that I definitely felt more optimistic than I had [in the past]. And [on Blabbermouth] they were, like, ‘Chris Caffery‘s completely opti...

SAXON frontman Biff Byford says that it was “crazy” for JUDAS PRIEST to announce its plan to embark on the next leg of its 50th-anniversary tour as a quartet. On January 10, JUDAS PRIEST revealed that it would perform as a four-piece when it returns to the road in early March. A few hours later, the band’s touring guitarist Andy Sneap, who co-produced the group’s 2018 album “Firepower” and has helmed several SAXON LPs in the past, released a statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET in which he said that he was “incredibly disappointed” by PRIEST‘s decision to carry on as a quartet and thanked the Rob Halford-fronted outfit for the “mind-blowing” opportunity to share the stage with one of his favorite bands. Meanwhile, PRIEST fans were ...
David Ellefson, who was fired from MEGADETH last year following a sex video scandal, says that “we’re meant to learn from our past but we’re not meant to be stuck in it.” The former MEGADETH bassist, who turned 57 in November, touched upon his life philosophy while filming a new video message on Cameo, which lets users hire celebrities to record brief, personalized video messages about virtually any topic. Asked to offer words of advice and motivation to a fan named Rafael who recently celebrated his 50th birthday and is about to retire, Dave said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “Look, what do I know? I’m just a dude living my life like you. But one day at a time, I guess, is the thing, right? And more will be revealed. “I always say the fron...
Most women love the flashy celebrity life. Those who are not celebrities dream of becoming one, while those who are celebrities live a high profile life and don’t hesitate to show everyone around them that they are famous. Perhaps, this quest for the spotlight among women is why Kevin Costner wrote, “Being a celebrity is probably the closest to being a beautiful woman as you can get”. Perhaps, being a celebrity makes some women look beautiful. Some women are exceptions, though. Such women are not moved by celebrity status. Even though they are celebrities, they don’t want to be a public spectacle. Anna Beth Goodman is one such woman. Even though Anna Goodman’s husband is an icon in the Hollywood industry, she maintains a low profile. She doesn’t live the loud life typical of most Hollywood...

After closing the book on a breakthrough 2021, Rich DietZ have kicked off the year with a brand new single called “Work Song.” In typical Rich DietZ fashion, the track is a house music stroke of genius. Arriving ahead of the spring season, “Work Song” isn’t a breezy poolside track, but a banger designed to induce noodle-flailing pool riots. Cover art for Rich DietZ’s new single, “Work Song.” One of the more coveted unreleased tunes from their repertoire, “Work Song” interlaces hip-hop-inspired samples in its arrangement, which beautifully blends elements of tech and G-House. Rich DietZ first debuted the single last year at EDC Week in Las Vegas, where they dropped it during a rip-roaring performance at Élia Beach Club cl...

Threatening to “cancel” Leatherface hardly seems like a wise move, but that’s one influencer’s approach when facing off against the iconic serial killer in Netflix’s new trailer for Texas Chainsaw Massacre. “Try anything and you’re canceled, bro,” the influencer says to Leatherface, while recording the short-lived showdown on his phone. Undeterred, the mass murderer revs up his signature chainsaw and takes out each person on the party bus one by one. The 2022 Texas Chainsaw Massacre marks the direct sequel to the original 1974 horror classic and centers around the idea of young people revitalizing a ghost town in Texas. Naturally, bratty teens along for the ride aren’t happy about the idea in the first place, and their hesitance is proven to be right when a certain chainsaw-wielding m...

Wordle, the viral word game which offers players six chances to puzzle out a five-letter word, has been purchased by The New York Times to bolster their ever-expanding collection of brain-teasing games. The New York Times Company left a blank space in place of the actual price, though they did say the purchase involved a number “in the low seven figures.” The invention of Brooklyn engineer Josh Wardle, Wordle (yup, it’s a pun) rolled out last October. It had less than 100 users per day on November 1st, but by the middle of the month that number had ballooned to over 300,000.
