Watch Stevie Wonder, Ari Lennox, and More Perform Lionel Richie Tribute at the 2022 American Music Awards

The 2022 American Music Awards took place tonight (November 20) at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, where Stevie Wonder, Charlie Puth, Ari Lennox, and others took the stage to perform a medley of hits by Lionel Richie, who received this year’s AMA Icon Award. Wonder and Puth took turns playing various songs by Richie and the Commodores in the style of dueling pianos, including “Brick House,” “Easy,” “All Night Long (All Night),” and “Say You, Say Me.” The tribute ended with Lennox, Smokey Robinson, Melissa Etheridge, Yola, and others joining them onstage for “We Are the World.” Check out the performance below. Ryuichi Sakamoto Announces New Album 12

Ryuichi Sakamoto has announced his new solo album 12. It’s due out January 17 via Milan Records. 12 is the first non-soundtrack solo studio album from the Japanese composer since 2017’s Async. Sakamoto recorded the album in 2021 and 2022, and the track titles reflect the dates that the compositions were written. In a statement, Sakamoto, who has been receiving cancer treatment, said, “After I finally ‘came home’ to my new temporary housing after a big operation, I found myself reaching for the synthesizer. I had no intention of composing something; I just wanted to be showered in sound. The xx are reissuing their second album, Coexist, for its 10th anniversary. Out now digitally and January 13 on clear vinyl, the reissue includes live versions of “Angels,” “Chained,” “Reunion,” and “Sunset,” which you can hear below. The xx’s latest album, I See You, came out at the beginning of 2017. All three xx members have now released solo music, with Oliver Sim putting out debut album Hideous Bastard this year. Martha’s Vineyard Bank Held Up By Armed Robbers Who Are Still At Large

According to the Vineyard Gazette, three masked men armed with handguns held up the Vineyard Haven branch of Rockland Trust on Thursday morning. The men reportedly tied up bank employees and escaped in a stolen vehicle that belonged to one of the bank tellers and was recovered. As spotted on Gothamist, District Attorney Alvin Bragg is on a mission to win back the trust of The Big Apple. This week he and his office announced that they will be vacating the almost 200 convictions that involved local police officers who were either corrupt, lied, falsified evidence or were involved in other types of wrongdoing.
