The results are in: the U.K. loves electronic dance music. In fact, they love dance music so much that it accounts for over 25% of the country’s Top 10 tracks this year, according to a new report from record industry trade group BPI. The report concluded that the genre is second only to pop music, which can arguably be categorized as dance these days. BPI’s report suggests that 26.1% of all tracks in the U.K. Singles Top 10 this year are considered dance music. Maya Nager, 19, has died after collapsing at Scotland’s Terminal V electronic music festival, Edinburgh Live reports. Nager’s cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but local reports state she “ingested a substance” hours before the event. She eventually collapsed on the festival’s grounds and was rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Nager was pronounced dead on Monday morning. Trey Songz is no longer facing a lawsuit that accused him of rape, TMZ reports. When reached by Pitchfork, Songz’s attorney, Randall M. Awad, confirmed that the case has been dismissed. The complaint was initially filed in February by a woman (identified as Jane Doe) who claimed that the R&B singer assaulted her in 2016. Songz denied her accusations, and the suit was dismissed in July before being refiled with the same allegations. According to court documents viewed by Pitchfork, Songz’s legal team successfully argued that the statute of limitations for the woman’s claims expired in 2018, resulting in the suit’s dismissal.
