Stacey Abrams held up a “my body, my choice” sign on stage as Latto performed “Pussy” in Atlanta Saturday night (Oct. 22). The Democratic candidate for governor of Georgia took the stage at the State Farm Arena, where Latto was opening for Lizzo on The Special Tour. Without warning, Drake and 21 Savage delivered fans a music video for their hit “Jimmy Crooks.” Aside from finally offering fans a visual for the breakout track on Honestly, Nevermind, the clip also announced their upcoming collaborative album, “Her Loss.” Keeping things simple, the music video sees Drake and 21 Savage performing “Jimmy Crooks” in a soundstage, framed by a collage of scenes from cities and a new interlude. Muna Perform Three Songs on CBS Saturday Morning: Watch

Muna were the musical guests on today’s (October 22) broadcast of CBS Saturday Morning. The Los Angeles three-piece played the songs “Silk Chiffon,” “Solid,” and “Kind of Girl” from their recent self-titled album. Watch below. Muna’s self-titled LP was released in June on Phoebe Bridgers’ label Saddest Factory Records. Bridgers contributed vocals on the album standout “Silk Chiffon,” and later appeared in the music video for the single. When We Were Young, the Las Vegas music festival featuring Paramore and My Chemical Romance as headlining acts, has canceled its first day due to high winds. Festival organizers published a statement on social media Saturday morning (October 22) in which they said that they were forced to call off the festival’s first day due to an advisory from the National Weather Service. “When We Were Young Festival organizers have spent the last several days proactively preparing the festival grounds for a windy Saturday,” the statement reads. “The National Weather Service has now upgraded their Saturday forecast to a High Wind Warning, including dangerous 30-40 mph sustained winds with potential 60 mph gusts. Drake and 21 Savage have announced a new joint album called Her Loss. The pair revealed the album—due out October 28—in their new video for “Jimmy Cooks,” their collaboration on Drake’s LP Honestly, Nevermind. Joanna Simon, Acclaimed Singer, TV Correspondent and Carly’s Sister, Dies at 85

Joanna Simon, an acclaimed mezzo-soprano, Emmy-winning TV correspondent and one of the three singing Simon sisters who include pop star Carly Simon, has died at age 85. Simon, the eldest of four, died Wednesday (Oct. 19), just a day before her sister Lucy died, according to Lucy’s daughter, Julie Simon. Their brother Peter, a photographer, died in 2018 at 71. All three had cancer. “In the last 2 days, I’ve been by the side of both my mother and my aunt, Joanna, and watched them pass into the next world. Carly Simon Loses Both Sisters to Cancer a Day Apart

Joanna Simon and Lucy Simon, Carly Simon’s two older sisters, passed away a day apart this week following their respective battles with cancer. Joanna, a former opera singer, died October 19th at age 85 of thyroid cancer, while Lucy, a Broadway composer, died October 20th at age 82 of breast cancer. The daughters of Simon & Schuster co-founder Richard Simon, all three of the Simon sisters worked in the entertainment industry from a young age. The first day of emo nostalgia festival When We Were Young has been canceled due to high winds in Las Vegas. Citing “dangerous 30-40 mph sustained winds with potential 60 mph gusts,” festival organizers announced the cancellation an hour prior to the event’s start time.
