Cardi B confirmed that she will not be releasing her unofficial remix of Ice Spice‘s viral single, “Munch (Feelin’ U).” The “WAP” rapper clarified the news on Twitter after fans called for her version to drop. “I’m not putting that song out by the way,” she tweeted. “You know I don’t tease.” Cardi also explained the reason in response to a fan who asked why the remix won’t see the light of day, “I like it don’t love it,” she continued, “just having fun.” Her take on Spice’s hit track was uploaded as an Instagram video, which shows her enjoying a night out as the remix plays in the background. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments on Most Normal, the audacious third album by Ireland’s Gilla Band. Occasionally they come from Dara Kiely’s riled-up lyrics: “I can’t wear hats I just get slagged,” he chants over Adam Faulkner’s drilled snares on “Bin Liner Fashion.” On “Backwash,” he declares “no one looks cool around a wasp” in a matter-of-fact sneer, though the real punchline is the sickly, warp-speed gargle of noise that follows, which gives the feel of swerving down the twistiest slide at the waterpark on a flume of sewage. Caroline Polachek has released an aria that she wrote for Oliver Leith’s opera Last Days, an adaptation of Gus Van Sant’s 2005 film dramatizing the end of Kurt Cobain’s life. The contribution from Polachek and PC Music producer Danny L Harle is titled “Non Voglio Mai Vedere il Sole Tramontare,” Italian for “I Never Want to See the Sun Go Down.” Last Days runs at London’s Royal Opera House through October 11. Styles P Is Retiring as a Solo Artist in Late 2023
Styles P will officially be retiring as a solo artist in late 2023. The revered LOX rapper made the announcement on Instagram with a lengthy post, explaining that he will be releasing two more projects before bowing out but will be “on deck” for everything LOX-related.
