Taylor Swift has revealed the full tracklist of her new album, Midnights. After sharing several song titles via TikTok in recent weeks, Swift revealed the final track titles overnight, including one, “Snow on the Beach,” which features Lana Del Rey. See the full tracklist below. Swift announced Midnights at the end of August, while accepting the award for Video of the Year at MTV’s Video Music Awards. She’s described the album as “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout [her] life.” Midnights is out on October 21. The record includes a song called “Karma,” a title that has spawned speculative fan theories for the past six years. Some of them posited that Swift had recorded a secret album by that name amid her 2016 feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Midnights is the fi...

Matt Damon’s 10 Best Roles

Top Performances is a recurring feature in which we definitively handpick the very best performances from an iconic actor or actress. It has been updated for Matt Damon’s 52nd birthday. It’s not enough for Matt Damon to be conventionally attractive, or even physically imposing. He also has to be preternaturally intelligent, a savant capable of outwitting a Fields Medal-winning mathematician, a ruthless Russian card shark, or a millionaire casino owner, as the occasion may demand. This is the curious truth at the center of Damon’s career: Though he’s got all the looks you could hope for in a leading man, it’s what’s behind those steely blue eyes that keeps us coming back for more. Maybe it’s because he played a boy genius in 1997’s Good Will Hunting, then followed up that breakthrough ...

A Love Letter to Derry Girls, the Show That Reminds Us Why Life’s Worth Living

Deep in the endless scroll of Netflix’s catalog, there exists a tiny little show called Derry Girls. It felt like something of an outlier when I discovered it in the fall of 2019 — just two seasons of six, twenty-minute episodes each — but I pressed play out of sheer curiosity. You know, the kind of curiosity that hits you when you’ve run out of anything to watch and decide on a whim to start something entirely new and entirely original. Set in the town of Londonderry, Northern Ireland, Derry Girls debuted in 2018 and tells the story of a group of teenagers coming of age in the 1990s. And yet it almost feels disrespectful to parse this lovely, little show down to a simple logline. Because at its heart, it’s so much more than that. I fell in love with the world of Derry Girls almost instant...

Dan Harmon: “I Don’t Even Know if It’s Legal” for Chevy Chase to Appear in Community Movie [Updated]

Dan Harmon was asked if Chevy Chase would return for the recently-announced Community movie coming to Peacock, and the series creator joked, “I don’t even know if it’s legal for him to come back. “That may be out of my hands,” he continued. “Maybe something I sign for with an insurance company, I really don’t know.” On a more serious note, he said, “Everyone wants to know, is so-and-so coming back? I cant really speak to that.” Harmon and Chase famously disagreed about the direction of the latter’s character Pierce, and Chase used the N-word during at least one heated exchange. Donald Glover, who also starred on the show, has spoken about his many racist interactions with Chase, including being told, “People think you’re funnier because you’re Black.” Advertisement Related V...

Ozuna on His New Album OZUTOCHI and Official FIFA World Cup Soundtrack Song: “I Said, ‘Yo! Let’s Go!’”

Ozuna worked on a lot of songs for his new album, Ozutochi, out today (Friday, October 7th). “I took two years to prepare,” Ozuna tells Consequence, “And I had 75, 65 songs. I get only 18 songs for this album… so it was difficult.” But fret not: the 18 songs he did select for Ozutochi show the Latin superstar at his very best. His signature tenor and stylish deliveries are on full display, and whether he’s starting the party or crooning through love songs, his unshakeable star power looms large. It’s been a significant rise throughout the last five years for the Puerto Rican-born singer, songwriter, and rapper — if you aren’t as familiar with Ozuna’s signature voice, you may have heard his remix to “Te Boté,” a reggaeton smash that reached massive levels of po...

How Did Four Artists Release Music On the Same Day With the Same ’90s Sample?

Four dance tracks, four different artists, released by four different labels—all on the same day.  This is the eyebrow-raising phenomenon that was spotted during this week’s Friday deluge of new music. Campbell’s “Beat Goes On (To The Brain),” Spencer Ramsay’s “Beat Goes On (DNB Flip), Chapter & Verse’s “The Beat Goes On” and Cody Wong’s “Beat Goes On (La Di Dadi Di Mix),” comprised the medley of songs all found to be using the same catchy vocal sample.  The sample goes back to a 1997 release by The All Seeing I, “Beat Goes On,” a cover of Sonny & Cher’s 1967 song of the same name. In a TikTok video posted by British DJ and radio host MistaJam, the track’s original vocal hook, ...

Carl Cox Previews Upcoming Album and Wembley Arena Performance With New EP: Listen

Ahead of his first album in over a decade, Carl Cox has shared a mind-bending EP, Welcome to My World. Cox’s Electronic Generations is due out at the end of this month, but he’s given fans plenty to chew on with the new four-track EP. The storied techno and house music producer kicks off Welcome to My World with “World Gone Mad,” a song that leads with an impassioned, declarative vocal sample before opening the flood gates of frenzied acid bass. The pummeling techno riffs continue throughout the effort, marking a somewhat substantial departure in tone from the three previously released tracks. Cox takes his reworks of “See the Sun Rising,” “How It Makes You Feel” and “Speed Trials On Acid”—collabs with Franky Wah, Nicole...
